bad internal communication

#

Started by marja (sinner)

for a project for work, I need a small clip of about 5 minutes to show at the beginning of a seminar, and it has to be about bad internal communication, the lack off, or just communication problems in a whole. I’ve looked through some fawlty towers and I found a few possibilities, but I was wondering if you people might know something in a more enterprise environment, like “the office” or something. Thanks for helping out

There’s a brilliant bit in the office when David Brent does a really awful ‘speech’ - I think it’s supposed to be about motivation or something but it is genius. Proper cringeworthy! I could have a look for you tonight?

is it the “motivation speech” where he uses this little philosophers book and wears old jeans and a white shirt? Because I’ve seen that, and it’s ok, but i need it to be more about how misunderstandings can be created due to very bad communication. it has to illustrate our company’s position at the moment:

we are in fact doing fine, and because of the changes that are being made at the moment we will do even better tomorrow, but the overall feeling of a lot of employees is that we’re heading for bancrupcy. Well that’s a bit too strong, but you get my point. This is because of the lack of communication of our management to the guy/girl in the factory or the small cubicle to tell them that what they do makes a difference.

@dermot: I’ll look into that, thanks

Ah - i see .. no it would be rubbish and all your company would think they were going to be sacked!!

The best one I can think of is the Two Ronnies - classic misunderstandings but your audience would have to have pretty good English!

But it’s not really internal communications - I’ll keep thinking though …

how about something from big train? I saw a few clips on youtube and i found it very very funny, but i couldn’t really find anything that’s related to the management not communicating enough or badly

A video of Ulster Rugby playing last season would give you a good idea of bad communication…
