Radio 1 Rock Show

#

Started by Auto_Surgery (Mad Axe Man)

Dunno if anyone else read the message from Andy on the News page but have been givin the “Creating a T? buzz some thought”.So I have E-mailed Mary Ann Hobbs to try and get her to play the ‘If It Kills Me’ on the Radio 1 Rock show tonight (12;00AM till 2:00 AM). If you have two minutes, regardless of where you live, send her an e-mail and ask her to play the single. The rock show is one of the only Alt/rock radio shows that most UK people have access to (if you don’t have digital).

The more requests she gets the better the chance of it been aired :p

If not 4 me, for T?

And hey, it’s really important everyone tries to buy the single when it’s released… April 21 in the UK (yeah, Easter Monday…go out and do some shopping if you can find some open record stores!

As long as the band appreciate it, it’s worth it. I know that Martin is aware about the Stubru effort and how IIKM was hot shot single or whatever, and that he’s chuffed about the effort people made.

Stubru? What was that?

I’ve just send another one to Mary Anne; this time from my hotmail account, except this time I called myself ‘Tom’! :D

Might be a bit suspicious if she gets loads of mails from people with the same name!!

What is up with releasing a single on Easter Monday?? Now i’ve got to get up on my day off and go annoy the buggers in HMV (we only have one record store over here - ARGH!), and get laughed at by the big evil security guard who thinks i’ve got no taste in music. I mean, obviously i’d kick his ass, but he’s six foot six and probably outweighs me twice over.

What other DJ’s can we hassle then? I had an idea of how to get the new single played prime time R1, somebody send in a copy of IIKM, but with a Coldplay ” any old shite will do ” label on it instead…bang on!

I don’t think it was AS, as she didn’t say anything about it being requested, I got the impression that she had it on her play list anyway.

Eh? Is that an official type ban, or a kind of “stop it” by your friends? If it’s not an official ban, with correct paper work and all that, then it doesn’t count.

Fighting’s great ( the playful type, not the real stuff obviously ) we do it at work all the time, we’re not supposed to but we do. So far 5 customers have been caught in the cross fire, included one who complained about being hit by a turnip. It’s hard not to laugh when your manager is telling you off for that…

Blonde Blade wrote:

Okay, why did you hit a customer with a turnip? What do you do exactly that involves turnips, or shouldn’t i ask?

My friend’s doctor actually banned us from fighting, because my friend stupidly told him what had happened. I won, incidentally, two submissions to one, but my friend reckons that’s just because she lost the use of her left arm after i broke her collarbone…

I didn’t throw the turnip, that was somebody else throwing it at me who missed completely. I got told off due to guilt by association!

Basically anything that’s lying around is a potential missile in the high flying world of supermarket work. We had a 12 man doughnut fight a couple of nights back, and I get paid for this!
