Little Tongues First video

anyone seen it? dunno why it wasnt on the Scopophobia dvd, seen it on scuzz ages ago, the video is pretty good but the problem is that the speed of the song is way slower, which makes it pass the 5 minute mark and the song on cd is 4 and a half.

Yeah, good video, shame it wasn’t on the dvd. I never really liked the song until I saw the video a few times. Although admittedly, the ‘standing like statues’ bit is a little naff!

I’m guessing it was the bands choice to leave it off, cos if they got the licence to use videos from Universal, they’d surely have no problem getting rights from Ark21.

Little Tongues First and Opal Mantra are both on youtube, Bad Karma used to be played quite frequently on scuzz a few years back it was just bits of the other videos with a bit of live footage.

Not sure about Stories, what was the proper version meant to be?

Yeah, the 2nd version of ‘Stories’ has the Michael & Fyfe roughing up Andy in a warehouse. It’s on the “Gold” DVD released by Universal in 2007. Interestingly, the original performance video is not on either Scopophobia or Gold. Obviously both the band and Universal think it’s pretty poor!

I posted most of these videos on youtube in the past but in the end were removed.
All except the 2nd version of ‘Stories’ and ‘Innocent X’.

Re: the original Stories video, I remember watching a German show at that time when Infernal Love came out. They showed T? some videos and the guys commented (Manowar came on, and Michael could barely contain himself laughing). Anyway, Stories was supposed to be showed, but instead they played Opal Mantra with a subtitle saying essentially that T? weren’t pleased with the Stories video and took it back. Also something about “Opal Mantra is the better song anyway” (lol, although I agree with that).
It’s ironic, since I think I remember Michael stating somewhere they weren’t happy with the Opal Mantra video either (something about they wanted “dreamlike images” and didn’t think the director came up with them. I love the video. Whatever).

A couple of short clips of “Meat Abstract” were shown on MTV “120 Minutes” back in the day. Apparently, Fyfe and his friends created two videos on 8mm film (Innocent X was the other one). The clips that MTV showed had Fyfe and friends acting, Charlie Manson, live clips of the band plus various scenes from old horror movies.
