Hi everyone
I discovered Therapy? circa 1992. We had just got access to ‘cable tv’ here in Malta and I used to watch 120minutes religiously.
I used to dj at the time so what I used to do was record the programme whilst i was at the club ,then return home around 4am,take the required refreshments and watch the show.
I believe ‘Teethgrinder’ was my introduction to the band…then bought Nurse…a year later Troublegum etc etc
During the time I absolutely adored The God Machine. Don’t ask me why I’m mentioning this here but I did.
By time my tastes mellowed a little…got into slow core /post rock/alt country and stuff like that but I always found time for some therapy?Crooked Timber took me by surprise. The first 6 tracks literally blew me away. I love the way they did a deep intense album rather than work on singles.
Two of my friends and I have been getting bands to play here and we’re thrilled that on the 30th April Therapy? will be playing in Malta. We can’t wait…should be a blast.
can’t wait…
thanks
jean

Hi there, Teethgrinder was also what got me into T? circa ‘92…it was a track on a free CD with a UK metal mag (can’t remember the name) :-)

Damn that was nearly 2 decades ago!

Heya

I love Malta - I visited a couple of times. The company I used to work for bought some software from there, they even opened up an office over there (they’ve just gone bust tho)

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
The brilliant thing about Therapy? I find is the way they bridge the alternative and metal genres. I honestly can’t think of anyone thats done it better.
Malta…well if you’re interested…now is the time to visit…late april the weather is like the best…hot but not too hot…then a therapy? gig in the evening…hehe
honestly tho…its great to be on this board
