Got to work to find my vinyl waiting for me, I’m chuffed it looks really really good.

^^ I’m guessing not Sarah, can’t see any numbers on mine apart from the catalogue ID (DR2LP 009)

Apologies for the double post - but what Andy said about the way he sings on the album is in this interview - http://www.state.ie/blog/therapy-interview/
Sarah posted it already but just in case anyone was interested.

Interesting, ta.

Been playing CT all week in my taxi… Nice and loudly wether passengers want to hear it or not lol!!

Had a few positive comments from random peeps… Apart from the annoying drunk females i kept getting on sat night, where the conversation went along the lines of:-
Glaswegian Vicky Pollard “Haw driver, whit’s that pish you’ve got on?…Gonnae change it and put some bouncy choons oan?”
Me “It’s Therapy?, and no i’m not putting on any of that shite that you call music”
GVP “Therapy? THERAPY? I’ll Gie ye Therapy? in a minute… Put oan Radio wan, ah want tae hear Judge Jools”
Me “My Radio can’t get a reception, so Therapy? it is…Unless you’d rather hear Metallica??”
GVP “Naw, it’s awrite”
Then there was silence for the rest of the journey lol

A fan from Troublegum era recognised Andy’s vocals and didn’t know that T? were still on the go, so he got a slap and then got dropped off at the nearest HMV. :D

My vinyl came just this minute looks very nice, im a complete noob with stuff like this but the actual record is covered in like some plasticy thing, if i wanted to play it does that come off or does the needle read through the plastic?

Spaceball 1 wrote:

Yes, leave the plastic on. The correct procedure for playing grammophone records is
1. putting them on the turntable with the plastic still on
2. heat the needle of the recordplayer with a cigarette lighter just ‘till it’s whitehot, so that it can burn right trough the plastic
3. put the needle on the record and spin it by hand. depending the size of the record you will need to spin slower or faster.

For repeated listening, buy a new record and recordplayer each time, as both will be worn out after using…

Well it doesnt look like this plastic comes off, theres like a small circle in the middle that isnt covwered in it, alot of my other records have it on, usually the ones with pictures or that arent black.

Not entirely sure I’m comfortable with telling non-WoMbles that I’ve got Crooked Timber. Didn’t Bill Clinton have the same thing?

Hmm, maybe the vinyl isn’t numbered then. I couldn’t see it anywhere but was hoping maybe someone else might have spotted if they were numbered. Just thought as it’s limited edition that they might have been. My bad.

It’s a solid album. As good as NANE for me, which makes it their fifth best album, IMO.

Hearing about you puzzling over your new vinyl is like watching an old person trying to operate an electronic gadget

Fuck - still pissed at Amazon about the delay of my vinyl. I won’t see it ‘til the end of April, allegedly. Better fucking be some left.

Is there anyone on this side of the pond who has managed to order and receive a copy of the vinyl?

Downloaded a copy of CT shortly after its release on the 23rd, and like every T? record, I have again fallen in love. I’ve been a fan since Troublegum, and at this point, Therapy? could simply record an album of fart-noises and I’d be into it. The band can do no wrong in my eyes. Now, to be fair, I’m still working out the kinks in this disc, as it’s a grower for sure, but I know it’s going to be one of my favorites. And the video is just gorgeous!

Fingers still crossed for those ever-elusive Canadian tour dates… fuck Toronto, come to Vancouver! Hey, a fan can hope, can’t he?
