Anton Corbijn and Therapy?

#

Started by Ndpain

Hey everyone. To be honest, I’ve been considering writing this message for a year now, but unfortunately my laziness kept preventing me from actually doing it. Anyway, last spring a museum I work in organized a solo exhibition of Anton Corbijn, probably well-known to all of you, not least as a photographer behind the Infernal Love cover & booklet. During the preparation of the display he personally participated in the mounting process and based his operations in our office. Eventually I managed to grab his attention and have a little chat about his experience with Therapy? He said he remembered that day quite well, the shoot was done in Portugal and that…Andy was quite hard to work with. At this point he made a suggestive wink, clearly indicating that the cause was drug use. Well, there are certainly no new facts here, but still we have another interesting historical testimony )) On a personal note, Anton is a really well-disposed and generally friendly person, not to mention very professional in mounting exhibitions.

To provide proof, here’s my picture with him and the signed IL booklet. I hope all this doesn’s sound too pretentious, the experience was really great (and surreal), so I thought it’d be interesting to share it with you.

I think i remember hearing an acendote a while back about how the band were asked who they’d like to do the photo shoot and they jokingly replied Anton Corbijn not expecting it to happen.

Hmm, I can’t find a function to attach images here. Maybe I’m just not clever enough. Here’s the external links:
