I haven’t read the links, to be fair - will do when I have more time - but that’s an appalling idea and would cause riots all over the world, I think! Except for China. The Chinese and North Korea would probably approve as they could have tailored packages to restrict access to information.

I think it’s more likely about the money. Just imagine how rich you could get if you ‘owned’ a big chunk of the Internet, just through licensing - let alone advertising and sales! Do you want to go into business? I reckon with your skills we could turn Gracious Me into a nice little earner ;)
