Well I already had all that information as did everyone in the UK, I think, but I thought being in Europe you wouldn’t have had it sent to you so I looked it up.

It just happened to be in the Mirror - I certainly didn’t lift it from there.

In that story there’s not a shred of evidence or a single reference to back up their various allegations, do you have them?

All the images were taken from a single set of images which are copyrighted to the same photographic agency, which has details of the models used.

Why do you care? Are you making a leaflet?

I just find it interesting that people are so quick to parrot propaganda

Aren’t there any parties who stand for political reform?

yes, but they’re too small, and most of them just shout a lot and just resolve to namecalling and mudslining instead of offering a realistic, workable solution. But changing the obligation to vote into a choice to vote is not on the agenda. And I don’t think it’s bad, you also have the possibility to vote blanc or to spoil your ballot.

@gimme: indeed, if you don’t pay the fine, you could end up in jail, but that is always a last resort. We belgians are known for our ” we’ll work something out” abbilities, so it will never come to that

I don’t support the BNP, I just think it’s interesting that people want to shut them up whilst at the same time believing in “democracy”. It’s also interesting to see propaganda at work from both the BNP and their enemies.

ah thats fair enough, dont the bbc have to cover every political party fair and unbiased? i suppose there recent bnp hate was a bit against that, but at the same time it worries me that people actually go out and vote for parties like this, its a double edged sword really but ah well fuck it whoevers in power we’re fucked.

In addition I think you don’t guess how it ‘s happened all the week long before the vote in here in France … Strange manipulation in certain towns as the no-delivery of ballot paper until the previous voting day …

If we vote(d) or not, we can’t ignore that we’re part of the EU. Once every five years we have something to say. It’s easy to vote for parties that are against everything that smells like EU. But what do they have to offer? Nothing. The PVV, an extreme right wing Dutch party ended up second. They are going to do nothing in Brussels but shout and disagree with everything. Count your blessings!
I’m not entirely pro-EU, but I think that we need each other to get things done. And, it has it’s benefits. Dutch citizens pay € 245.00 per person a year and benfit approximately € 600.00 per person a year. Ignorance ruled the EU-elections, otherwise this PVV had not won in Holland.

It is one thing to have strong links with the rest of Europe - but I’m against a federal europe with a central government.
