If it kills me poor chart position.

I don’t read a lot of magazines but surely the likes of Kerrang! reviewing or at least mentioning the single release could have helped a bit!

I was really hoping for a top 40. Was that expecting to much?

Who gives a fuck about the charts?

Even DJ’s admit that they’re just for kids now - they don’t mean anything anymore. Long gone are the days when the whole family would huddle around the TV to watch “Top of the Pops”

It’s obviously not about the music anymore, and let’s face it, 14 year old girls are hardly going to fancy anyone in Therapy?

Sorry lads! :D

The first Kerrang! came out in 1981, I believe. Man, you’re old! :p

But yeah, Kerrang! is shit and so is the TV channel. Marketed for 16 year olds which “issues”

As for a CD1 and CD2 - You should of bought the CD and the vinyl 7” if you’re a real fan. I did, and I’m sure quite a few others did. Maybe a pic disc/coloured vinyl next time?
A CD2 with some more previously unreleased stuff woulda been good. I’d have bought it on whatever formats it was released.
Why no vinyl release for the album? I thought the guys are supposed to be vinyl junkies.

I think my learned friend it was before that, 79 I think. It had Angus Young on the cover. And yes I suppose at 37 I am classed as old…

It would’ve been nice to see the guys get into the top 40.. But without major label backing, radio play and a serious ad campaign then its not surprising really. The charts aren’t just comprised from sales!

Great! Kerrang! has now reviewed the single (a week to late) and said there is nothing catchy about If it Kills me. Yeah right! And they said Mama is just shite!

Oh well, they gave the album a good review I guess.

I know Kerrang can be shite, but its a way of keeping up with the music industry. You don’t have to read the bits you don’t like/agree with.

It’s a bugger if stuff gets reviewed late, because half the people that might have bought, probably never even knew it was out - I wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t for the web.

Probably it’s good, that the review was published later, some people could buy the single later and that helps T? to be in charts another week.

Maybe, but I think with a ‘niche’ band like T?, the only way to make much headway is to get as all the sales crowded into 1 week. Maybe if they’d scraped the top 40,they might have got some more radio airtime, but that aside, I’d be surprised if the song goes much highre given that the hardcore of fans have bought it last week.

Oh course the charts are rubbish,i have no idea who is number 1 right now and i don’t own one single in the whole of the Top 40.But i would like to see Therapy? in there somewhere i think they deserve success.I know the band aren’t really interested in competeing with the pop bands.

I don’t, which is why I don’t buy it and haven’t since 94! Kerrang used to be great, they’d take the piss out of the stuff they liked as well as the stuff they hated. There was a real tongue in cheek approach to the whole mag made , but now it just takes itself far too seriously.

The real change for me came about this time when they seemed to be blindly following what was popular with “der kids”, they suddenly started slagging off stuff they’d praised 3 years earlier ( Morat being one of the main culprits ), and it wasn’t tongue in cheek anymore..in fact it went up the same head up arse self inflated air of importance the NME has had for.. oooh, ever.

So fuck the charts, fuck Kerrang, fuck NME and fuck massive fucking airplay..let’s rock!

Whats worse you should read the review High Anxiety got in Q.
I have Kerrang’s heavy metal encyclopedia and Therapy? are the last great hope for british metal, did they sack everyone in the last ten years?

Therapy? High Anxiety

T? got 3 stars

The Belfast power trio are still here and they rock.

Some 12 years since their debut EP,Therapy? are still plugging on with their grunge/punk/pop hybrid. When Good Charlotte are tearing up the charts, who can blame them? While there are no surprises here-a bit of Green Day on My Voodoo Doll,a bit of Black Sabbath on Who Knows-High Anxiety will probably go down a storm live.Trouble is you have to wonder where they can go from here.

Notice the Belfast power trio bit
