lol - im not really the kind of person that buys everything a band releases, even if im a massive fan i just get what i fancy whenever i fancy it and if it passes me by then so be it! im not sure ill stand by my crooked timber score as im still getting used to it but im finding it a slow grower but my score for ocfa stands!!! i tried to give the album to my brother but he wouldnt take it cos he didnt like it either! i like sprung, our white noise and lose it all but thats about it for me.

personally im finding it weird that HA is getting such low marks! i think Stand in line, if it kills me, rust are some of the best songs the band have ever written. plus it is half heavy, half indie/pop but all fits together seamlesly (to me!) - not many bands can do that!

I like HA, and like you say the good songs are some of the best they’ve writen - but the throwaway tracks drag it down overall. I really dont care for Voodoo Doll and Hey Satan… in particular.

I agree with that. When T? do ‘serious’ tracks like ‘If it kills me’, ‘Rust’, ‘Stand in line’ etc. they are excellent and I’ll play those songs for friends who think T? suck. But I make sure to not play ‘My voodoo doll’, ‘Satan you rock’, ‘Limbo’ for them, as they’re the songs that lead my friends to say “T? suck”. Far too poppy, silly, and throw-away.

I really like Voodoo Doll. I agree Hey Satan is probably the worst track on the album, but I don’t think it’s so bad that it drags it down. The only other weak track, in my opinion, is Last Blast, but again it’s not so bad that it spoils the album.
Not that it’s one of my favourite T? albums, but it’s good and pretty solid, I think.

Ok, if we’re rating the non studio albums then I’ll go for:
HOTTI: 10 (flawless mini-album, T? have NEVER sounded this good in a studio)
BIAC: 7 (pretty good, but not including the SSS EP was a mistake)
SMFTTYP: 8 (great collection, though the inclusion of Diane really hurts it)
Scopophobia: 6 (decent gig, though T? were really in transition at the time. Needed more promo vids as well)
MTACT: 7 (great to have, but missing a 1995 session, and the 1993 Peel sessions was horribly produced)
Webgig: 4 (poor song selection by us(!), and a bored performance from the band. Best not attempted again)

I have no idea what all those abbreviations mean but i’ll give Scopophobia a good solid 7. Marked down Only because of Andy’s tuneless shouting that ruins Diane! Couple of nasty bum notes in the middle there, mr Cairns!!
