New Megadeth album - Endgame

#

Started by KJC Dublin (Karl)

Just bought this and listened back to finish - fucking deadly album, easily their best since Countdown.

The guitar playing kills, the backline is tight and the recording kicks ass.

This will be spinning in my player for quite some time.

All hail Mustaine!

Yeah - much better than their last few albums - I didn’t think I’d be getting a new album by them but they’ve proved me wrong

It’s pretty good, nice to see Mustaine tackling the NWO in the lyrics as well!

Really made my day yesterday - they seem to be getting heavier by the record.

I like the way it kind of combines various elements of Megadeth throughout the years into one record.

Good news for thrash metal, now bring on the Big Four fesitval and let it come to Ireland…

Wasn’t “Washington is Next” about the NWO as well?

Anyway, listened to the new one a few times now. Liking it!!

His voice is the same now as it has always been… get over it or just don’t listen.

Surprise Surprise - go back to your Death Magnetic worshiping. This albums slays anything Metallica have done since Justice period.

At least his voice isn’t shot like howling cowboy Jame$

I totally agree but I tend to find that you can never have an objective discussion with a Metallica fan!

I dont actually like Death Magnetic or St Anger all that much. But Dave Mustaine’s voice is SHIT. I’ve tried to listen to Megadeth plenty of times in the past and it’s never struck me.

Just becaue I enjoy early Metallica doesnt mean i automatically hate Megadeth. they just don’t do it for me. .

If i dont like something I don t like it. I’m not gonna like it or dislike it based on what everyone likes or dislikes. If i liked Megadeth I would say so.

I’ve never pretended to like a band just because theyre “in”.

No, mate, quoting yourself is genius!

I really dig the new Megadeth, and don’t mind Mustaine’s vocals, but — as I’ve stated before — I cannot for a second agree that he’s currently a better singer than Het. All subjective, I guess…

Mustaine’s voice is definitely a matter of taste - kind of like Marmite. I have gotten used to it and actually can’t imagine their music without it. It is sort of like listening to Overkill.

I always find that when listening to metal bands that I tend to focus more on musicianship, which is why Endgame simply blows me away - playing is simply brilliant by all players.

Man Utd. fans of the music world…!!!

True Mustaines vocals are terrible, but he’s a far better songwriter than Metallica are these days.
I wasn’t too bothered with the last 2 Megadave albums, but ‘Endgame’ is quite deadly indeed.

Nothing will match ‘Rust In Peace’ though.
Easily the best album from any of the BIG 4.
A metal masterpiece.

Don’t know that one, I lost Megadeth after Countdown To Extinction.
