You’ll only die if you have a target time - if you just want to complete it, you don’t have to run all the way - and can’t for the first mile or so anyhow as its sooooo busy.
Have fun!

As you’re not going to enjoy it, perhaps you could compound your misery by wearing a crown of thorns and carrying a giant wooden cross for the duration ;)

Last time I did it, the devil ran past me, chased by Superman, very odd.
Last mile is chilly if its windy.
I ran for 3 minutes today :-)

I won’t be running for a couple of weeks at all: Was running on my bare feet through the water along the coastline last Sunday, like I’ve been doing a lot the last 15 years, when I planted my foot in a thick piece of glass, fortunately two people helped me out and brought me to a hospital where they stitched me up…bad karma follows me around! Good luck CB with the run, even if you’re not going to enjoy it!

When I did the Great North Run, some bloke in an old-fashioned divers outfit with the weighted boots was doing it too. He was moving at a snail’s pace, as you can imagine - painfully slow to watch, like a robot with its batteries running down.
I had NO IDEA that he had started out the day before or something like that.
So you can imagine my surprise and fury when I got towards the finish line and the cunt was AHEAD of me!
Took me a while for the penny to drop…

I did 5.6 miles today in 91 minutes in preparation for the Great North Run. I’m happy and confident I can finish it and beat the sweep up time, and survive it.
If anyone out there in WoMble-land feels generous and wants to donate please do.

I’m thinking about doing the Chester half in May and I might try to do a 10k once in a while. As for the full 26, I think that’s a bridge too far! if anyone wants to sponsor me, http://www.justgiving.com/davejameson is a good place to start!

I just like the idea of people raising money for a good cause by a physical endurance like you and Tubthumper did:-) Hopefully yoy reach your target, though it’s already a nice amount of money you collected!

Thankyou - I’ve increased the target a few times - the original was £300 so we’ve done well. 10 of us did it - we’ve raised over£4000 between us which is ace! Thanks again
