Been on these boards (admittedly not actively posting much) for over 9 years…I feel old. Who else can feel old with me? Rene?

I’m knocking on for 7 1/2 years, I have to be honest that it’s kind of depressing in a way, but also a compliment to this board. There have to be the least number of complete fuckwits on here than anywhere else on the internet.

It’s had its moments. Johnny Boy was an initial fucktard. Then there’s been one or two every now or then. But yes certainly a nicer, happier board in comparison with others :)

I don’t know who Johnny Boy is, but the only complete fuckwit that springs to mind in 7 1/2 years was also called Johnny (Knoxville - he’s probably still stalking us)

Do you have any highlights? Not in your hair - I just mean bits of wommery that have a special significance? I particularly remember when I was trapped in GM and Colin got me so agitated that I had to create this login just to give him an earful! :D

Ah the good old days, maybe i should bring story time back at one point;)

I think my first real memory of feeling part of WoM was in the old Hello Thread that Marja and Allroy used to hang in. Myself, Sam and Gav organised a bank robbery and while coming up with disguises to help us get away with it ended up just deciding to dress up like a cross between Slipknot and Turbonegro… basically a scary crossdressing clown in a sailors hat or something? I knew i would fit in after that… I do enjoy coming here as its cool to relax and just chat with friends and been great meeting people off the boards as so far they have all been very cool. I don’t post in here so oftern these days or just chat shit but maybe i should make the effort again.

I started posting on this board back when it was teethgrinder.com as “Che Guevara” in late 1999 / early 2000. I was 17 then, I’m 27 now :-s

In July 2000 Rene tightened up security (there was an awaful lot of flaming / trolling back then) requiring people to have a dedicated username / password. That’s why you’ll never see anyone as having joined before then - even though the board did exist. Not sure when it all started though - Rene?

I wonder where some old posters went… there was a guy called Brendan (from the US I think) who was a bit of an “Alan” type in that he obviously loved the band, posted a lot, knew a lot about them etc… then just disappeared (grew up I suppose?) ;-)

my first show was 1999, arena, vienna - it was murder! thanx to alan i have the bootleg-video of that! :) i was 18 back then, but i discovered them with troublegum, cause my older brother bought it in 1994. but it wasn’t until 1999 when me and my friends had our own licences and cars that we managed to get to vienna to go to a show!

“busy…making a baby” - successfully, as in you’re pregnant? Or just that you’ve been having a lot of sex? :-p Congrats either way :-D

Had moderate (ie “little”) success as a rapper in the short lived duo Jizzy Jeff and the Fresh Pants with Hooch.
Had a sequin wearing butler called Chuckles, who bore a striking similarity to Divers…
Met Dennis (Yeah, thanks for that one, you wom bastards…)
Got virtually drunk in the GM bar (i’m sure Colin was only about 7 when he was the landlord)
Finally worked out how to post a picture of my guitars (albeit a little large, but hooch was proud)

And obviously enriched everybodys lives. :)
