I’m back on the king’s x and incubus because they are rock bands where the vocalists are actually good singers - great phrasing and mostly in tune. The more i get into this singing lark and the more gigs i play the more out of tune singing annoys me…which is bad in a way cos lots of my favourite albums are now not so favourite anymore!

I can seem to stop listening to Monument by From The North. I urge anyone who likes Seattle music to check this one out - especially Mother Love Bone, Brad, Satchel and Shawn Smith solo stuff. It’s not really an official recording but it’s available through their myspace. Really superb!

Roy, have you heard the 30 second snippets of the new Slayer album tracks yet?

I am looking forward to the album as it sounds like a return to a Seasons-era mix of fast/ slower songs.

Currently listening to the Led Zep albums I know less well, i.e. In Through The Out Door and Presence.
I think I will move onto Physical Graffiti later too.

Yep. Sounds like it’s gonna be immense as always.

Really? I thought it had maybe 4 or 5 decent songs, but most were average or simply sh@t. But then, I thought each album has got progressively worse since the Green Album.

I would say its on par with the last album… half good songs, half mediocore songs. To be honest i didn’t know the others were writing songs too.
I LOVE weezer but i sort of judge everything to their first three albums.. the Green album more than the others. Make Believe was such a bad album that it sort of runied them for me.
