I like Deep Sleep. And I like Voodoo Doll. I quite like Body Bag Girl too - though it does seem a bit weak as it’s on such a great album.

Yeah, but even if they’re not very good I’d like to hear them. Can’t be any worse than Polar Bear anywhere.
Controversial

To be honest i’m thinking some songs go unreleased for a reason…
It’s very rare that an unreleased song that gets tacked onto a reissue or expanded edition type thing turns out to be anything other than a throwaway curiosity.

Really? I have loads of great songs that were b-sides or out-takes from albums.
I enjoy a lot of old T? b-sides, though I suppose only a few are really amazing. Still, not every song on an album is amazing either. The two b-sides from Crooked Timber, for example, I’d say are better than at least 3 or 4 of the tracks that made the album. So I definitely wouldn’t call them throwaway curiosities.
And with some other bands (The Cure, The Smashing Pumpkins, etc) there are dozens of b-sides that are at least on par with songs that made the respective albums.
I don’t know whether the song Shameless would turn out to be amazing, quite good or shit, but there’s only one way to find out… and my money is on it at least being quite good.
I tend to compile b-sides by bands into extra albums (I have 2 for T? and have 7 tracks so far to go towards a 3rd). They make good listening. If I didn’t make “albums” out of them then I have to admit I probably wouldn’t listen to them much. I’m not really into selecting random songs to listen to, I prefer to put a CD in my hi-fi and lie back and enjoy it.
