Ah, I didn’t realise it was just a Greatest Hits album - that sucks. I’ll just get the three new songs as MP3s (even though I hate buying MP3s). I thought there was going to be a whole new album, so I’m a bit pissed off now, after hearing the quality of the new songs and finding out they won’t be part of something bigger.

I heard the new one, it’s got some earnest bird screeching over a so-so rock backing.
Massive departure for the band, have to say…

Say you’re coming the next while and we’ll do the grand tour ;) Friends went to the gig, couldn’t quite bring myself to… saw them so many times when I was a teenager and didn’t want them to crush my memories by being crap..

@Bomb - were you trying to blind yourself so you wouldn’t have to know you were in the Cockpit?
What was the setlist like for SA? I loved Paranoid and Sunburnt but they’re one of those where I think the albums got weaker rather than stronger. Was it all t’hits?

Honestly, I’m somewhat sketchy on the minutiae of the details, I know there were a lot of singalong hits belted out, and she was unbelievable! walking across hands in the crowd, climbing the rigs and going around the balconies, great great show.
I was trying to make the beer go in my mouth through the somewhat unconventional approach of opening it really really wide, tipping my head back and emptying beer over my face. I like the Cockpit - it’s my favourite Leeds night out. I’ve never understood why you’re not a fan :(
I’m back for the Wildhearts at Rios next month too.

Erm, it’s a skanky dive with no air conditioning or toilet seats and all the bouncers have some sort of little hitler complex going on. I’m going to Rio’s tonight as it happens… Propagandhi :D

Rio’s! I went there on the Friday night. Loved every minute of it even though I didn’t dance as i was knackered after a week at work and it took a good while (and was pretty uncomfortable) to get up there from southampton…

yeah, my mate who lives in edinburgh bought the tickets - combination of a suitable date, leeds being halfway between us and it being a weekend on the rip sold it to me!
