First of all, even with a slight cold Andy sounded quite well and the gig and setting itself were great with a very enthusiastic crowd and Mechelen being the last gig of this incredible tour I can understand they( Michael) wanted to do something crazy by inviting people on the stage BUT, a lot of people went completely insane and left their minds off stage. I didn’t see what happened to Andy but am not surprised and I too hope he’s all right now… I can fully understand you want to hug either of the band but every spectator invited on a stage should act like a guest and not looking for their 10 seconds of fame by going apeshit and hurting the band AND other spectators…If you come on stage don’t forget to take your respect with you( like the guy who ran on stage solo to hug both Andy and Michael and getting a drumstick of Neil)
Any way, I stil enjoyed it, always good to see the Finnish delegation, The Century Couple, Gie and others!
Cheers, I enjoyed all 5 concerts I’ve veen to this tour a lot!

I think he didn’t liked the invasion at all. It was Michael who asked Andy to do this and Andy clearly said something like “well do if you want to, but it’s your invitation”.
According to a friend, Andy did agree with the invasion. She heard him say “Yes, that’s fine”, but I didn’t hear anything, so I’m not sure who’s right.

Anyone ( looking at you there Hooch/Rene ) heard anything as to how the big man is doing in the aftermatch of this and can enlighten us mere mortals.
Just that people might get a tad worried the longer there is no news whatsoever.

I really had a bad feeling after the gig, because of the weird ending. It got even worse when I saw one of the roadies make this quite aggressive sign saying it was over. When my brother came back (who was also on stage) and told me this stupid ********** I saw jumping of the loudspeaker landed on Andy’s head, the fun was completely over. What a “sisser” as we say in Dutch.
I’m really aching for news. I feel so ashamed for this guy. I hope he also hit his head and has a major headache…

I couldn’t put it better myself. In every situation, when you get a unique opportunity, your first priority should be not to blow it, especially when other people are involved. It was very special to me as a young fan who hasn’t had much / any ‘special band moments’ yet and I’m pretty sure there are others who will agree it was a fantastic experience nonetheless but that the accident and the strange ending are a taint :( A message about how Andy is okay would indeed ease my mind. I always hate it when crap happens to people right when they are having a good time, and musicians are also just people. Also stupid this should happen when all last three shows I saw the guys told crowdsurfers to be ‘careful not to land on anybody’s head ‘cos that’s really fucking unpleasant’. I remember Michael saying ‘er, security man, you had better move to the side for safety reasons’. I don’t know if they realised how right they were!

well yeah, he said “thats fine” but he didn’t looked convinced at all at the time and told Micheal to announce it. (he even pointed at him)
could be that he already felt sick at the time (as he told at the beginning of the show)
whatever: this shouldn’t have happened at all!

I’m sorry to hear this great tour ended like this :-( The 3 concerts I saw were worth every minute from it! :-) :-) :-)
Hopefully Andy is well soon! It would be good to hear how he’s doing now and how Therapy? experienced it.

Maybe the ‘speaker-jumper’ at the gig took the song too literally, and was actually trying to save Andy from a perceived suicide attempt?? He maybe thought Andy’s head was trying to strangle itself so he kicked him in the head, much like how you would hit someone being electrocuted with a wooden stick?
That’s it. Solved. Nice.
