The guy who posted it wrote the description as “Clashed with David Lynch’s Eraserhead” - I guess that’s the visual equivalent of a mash-up? I assume the bloke made it himself.

Thought so, there’s more of that stuff flying about, but with this one it’s less clear :D

Wow, that is a f**king amazing mash up - two of my biggest obsessions in one right there. I bet Andy himself would like it too!

Yeah, probably. I’m not very familiar with Lynch’s work though. Since the summary on Wikipedia is quite short, could someone explain the plot? Otherwise I’ll just be stuck trying to figure out something that is probably not made to be able to understand :D

Good luck with that :D
I’ve never seen Eraserhead, but I’ve seen a lot of his stuff - all the Twin Peaks, Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, Mullholland Drive… ect… several times, and I couldn’t explain a single one of them to you

There isn’t much of a “plot” in Eraserhead - it’s basically about an alienated / socially awkward guy becoming increasingly freaked out / suicidal by the repsonsibilties of parenthood / marriage.
A lot of it’s done through signs and symbols, not actual plot. Here’s a link to something that seems to explain things well if you’re really interested:

Wow. That must’ve cost a lot of work. Anyway thanks, I’ll have a go at it, though I probably won’t read everything in one day :)

The band “The Pixies” (don’t know if you’ve discovered them yet) recorded a cover of a song from Eraserhead as well. It’s called “In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)” and is really good. Best version is on “Pixies at the BBC”.

Well I do know the Pixies and most bands that meant anything up from the 70’s (though some older stuff as well) thanks to my dad. Not sure if I have that song, but I’ll check. We have LOADS of CD’s here, including some of the pixies. I’m really not into downloading, but ripping all those CD’s onto my harddrive is very time-consuming, and the pixies’ turn hasn’t come… yet :) Bless my dad (mom too) for buying all that music and all, but his way of ordering the collection into a whole really sucks and makes it hard to find seperate albums xD

Just found this thread. And I was the one who made the mash up video. I posted the link yonks ago in the T? youtube thread. I did one for Innocent X, Long Distance and Stop It Your Killing Me (the latter taking me 8 hours to make!!)
And yes it was me, Graeme can vouch for that ;)

Nice, I saw the Stop It You’re Killing Me vid around that time as well, but with that one it was more clear it was taken from a movie. Anyway, gj.
