Prague/Praha—info needed!

Although I’ve been to Prague a few times before I haven’t really bothered with the whole club thing other than sipping cold Piva in various bars after a hard day sight-seeing.
I’m going back over and celebrating my 30th over there in July so have been researching some places to go and party…can anyone recommend anywhere? Ideally metal/rock club but anywhere else good would be welcome. I’ve been to Lucerna before and that was OK and somebody recommended Klub Cain and Klub Vagon. Does anyone know anything about these places?

I went to Kain Club a few years ago - it was alright. Think it would have been better if a band had have been on but nothing was on and it could have been a rock pub anywhere!

I do love Prague but have no real idea about the club scene there…maybe I’ll see if there are any bands playing anywhere—that seems like a great idea (thanks Fiona!) I’m not spending my 30th in some banging tunes bar somewhere; I need my rock n roll!

I went to the Rock Cafe once (not to be confused with the Hard Rock Cafe just down the street which is even worse than the ones we have over here—got groped by some Italians. Luckily ‘fuck off dickhead’ seemed to translate pretty well into all languages…) but it was all Beatles and Queen etc.

Let me know how you get on, Beefgrinder! Tell me if you find any hip happening places for me to go to!!!!!
