How the hell would you know they were Welsh if you didn’t read it somewhere?
How fake can one band be?!

I like some of their early tunes but that singer needs a good slap! The fact that they are so Americanised sickens me. If you read an interview in Kerrap! they always use American slang - so annoying!! ;)

Would it be so bad to set them in the UK?!
I used to love the fact that the Manics always talked about Blackwood in their interviews and how it had shaped them, for better or for worse.
What’s the point of pretending to be American? I mean that as a serious question: Why pretend to be American…?

Marilyn Manson is overrated. It’s like industrial metal for people who don’t like industrial metal. And why does he insist on getting his bits out? We don’t want to look at that! Both times I saw MM (at festivals, might I add, and a long time ago…97 and 99) he just had to take out his little man and show it to the crowd. Why? We believe you have one, Mr Manson, please don’t do it again.
However, Fiona, I beg to differ. Marilyn Manson is not the worst band ever.
I had a rather unfortunate episode watching Faster Pussycat a few years ago and can safely say that with lyrics like:
‘Let’s go across the tracks where pussy ain’t no feline Rev up my Chevy I’m gonna pay to play’;
‘I’m a hard Hard act to swallow And she’s my buried treasure’;
and the deeply moving ‘Got your number off the bathroom wall Boy Am I lucky that I didn’t use the other stall’
that Faster Pussycat should take the gong.
However, we could reach a compromise and put both down as the worst band ever simply because I’m pretty sure that Taime Downe and Marilyn Manson are one in the same:

Marylin Manson, what a cnut.
I do enjoy the fact that he blatently doesn’t believe in any of the shite image and music that he’s selling but has found an act that makes people (well people sort of) to put their hand in their pockets and his fans buy into it (fig and lit) so much. Ha

Funnily enough last time I saw him was 99 Milton Keynes bowl and all I can remember is the expensive food and beer, too. And the willy, of course. I still see a psychiatrist about that.
Maybe he’s worked on his act a bit since then?! I suppose it’s different if you go to see him specifically rather than just seeing him at a festival anyway. Or maybe I’m just fussy!

I saw him a few times pretty early on, on the Antichrist Superstar tours. They had a decent band then, and decent songs. I really like Portrait, Antichrist and mostly Mechanical Animals. Sadly that was the last interesting thing that they did.
