A Thank-you to T? for 20 years

#

Started by Fiona (Fiona Lamont)

Was thinking (can you hear it? lol) - since the band are planning lots of stuff for our enjoyment for 20th anniversary - maybe it would be nice for us to do something for them…Any ideas? I was thinking of some sort of book with our memories, fav moments, songs, pic, tattoos of T?…Or, this that just really tacky and sad :-s

Getting it printed and bound is easy enough - would need plenty of contributions to make it worthwhile. Glad you like the idea :-)

Or a tribute cd? There’s plenty of musicians on WOM, not? Maybe we could convince some of the bands who supported Therapy? over the years?

I do like the idea of a tribute album…

The forum members of FrankBlack.net (down at the moment) did a similar thing a few years ago. The guys in charge took the best submissions and put it together, then there was a ‘b-sides’ album of the leftovers. It was all pretty interesting - some just very good, some quite novel.

On the novel side, I’d fancy a crack at ‘Knives’.

That’s right, I’m not a musician either, I don’t think it’s a good idea to give me maracas even :-(

The book might have a lot more contributors? If we want to get a decent product ready by the time they start their anniversary-tour (October/November I suppose?), we’ll all have to get off our lazy asses and start this project. Fiona, do you want to take charge?

I’m nowhere near a musician, but I think attempting Knives would be a larf. I suppose I can play pots and pans…

As for the book, I’m sure the members here have some pretty good anecdotes about the many, many times they’ve seen the band. Perhaps it could be split chronologically, so we could have more than one story per person.

what about a video competition? everyone can record videos. for example you can choose a song and you can act like you’re singing the song. you can record it anywhere (bathroom, kitchen, woods, office, school). but it must be very simple videos (no editing, or effects) so that everyone can join.

Has anyone got any old fanzines from back in the day? I remember there being one at some point but don’t think I kept it. That might be nice, too. I think there was a thread on that somewhere…
Am up for contributing anything…got enough anecdotes stored up!
