Saw them live with John about 5-6 years ago and though that he kicked ass (even pulled off the older songs well) - missed the reunion tour with Joey so I have no real comparison.
They wanted John really and I am happy for him that he said “no” this time as they have been messing him around for too long.
I have a feeling that the reunion with Joey won’t last long - they will definitely keep the train wreck going for the big 4 gigs ($$$$$), but after that, meh…

I’ve seen them 4 times with John and twice with Joey… I expected the Joey gigs to be shit, but was REALLY surprised. Ok, his voice is nowhere near as strong as John’s, but his presence was as strong and the overall show experience was just as awesome. Only let down was they didn’t play any of the songs recorded with John… But, the question is, would i go see them with Joey if they toured again?? Hell yeah!!!
