The bands that are confirmed are Mojo Fury, Axis Of, Kasper Rosa and Rupture Dogs. Who all is heading to this? And, where do you fancy heading for a few drinks first? Duke of York, John Hewitt, The Spaniard etc are all round the corner from the Oh Yeah Centre - I’m going to have to behave myself at the gig itself - so I don’t burst any stitches lol

Dermot, Pip, Cuch, you guys in? I’ve never been to any of those places Fiona, how much would you be paying for a pint of lager?
Are we going for post-drinks too or do people have to get up for work?

Just an operation on my arm lol - I’m not sure about the cost of pints Colin - don’t drink them! I think it will be just the standard Belfast bar prices…

Can’t get any time off work today or tomorrow so I’m afraid I’m out.
Looking forward to feeling bad when reading all the reports here afterwards !

What a night :D
Mojo Fury opened up well and set the bar for the night!
The covers (apart from Exiles and Teethgrinder) were excellent! Exiles was too ‘prog-rock’ for my liking.
Mike Abstract played Meat Abstract which was a pleasant suprise.
setlist and artists to follow tomorrow with a couple of videos and photos.
Thanks to Fiona for the lift home.
ps. Dermot, was that you in the Punk Floyd t-shirt?

I only ended up missing the first two bands in the end. I agree, Exiles was a complete ten minute mess, but it was a kinda good mess I thought! Saw Michael McK heading up to the front to watch that band… no pressure! I thought Teethgrinder was decent too (apart from the vocals, they just werent my kind of thing). My least favourite cover was Opal Mantra towards the end… prob cos I like that song so much and had high expectations.
Out of the bands I saw I thought Silhoutte (who covered Nowhere) were the most talented. And of course, Michael mcK’s appearance in Mike Abstract at the end was awesome

Strange, Exiles was one of my favs of the night, along with Rupture Dogs who for me, did a better version of Church of Noise than, dare I say it, the T? original. Shilouette & Paul Shevlin weren’t really my thing (keyboards make me shiver), but I liked what they did with the covers.
Yes Cadets, always have the same effect on me, very good, until the vox kicks in. The Teethgrinder chorus was very harsh. It was like the rest of the band ‘got it’ except the singer.
Enjoyable night overall, but seemed to be a room of support bands, rather than fans.

I agree Mully - very few T? fans there :-( - still it was a good night! I loved Rupture Dogs - they were excellent, and Silhoutte were good too. When I saw a cello and double bass on stage I thought it would be crap but was pleasantly surprised.
Good to Michael McK onstage as part of Mike Abstract…

Couldn’t make it down to this sadly - have to admit I wasn’t encouraged to break my prior engagement when I saw the lack of early material on the “setlist”, but I do like the sound of this Mike Abstract carry on! :-)
Any video of them and the better acts before?
That band Silhouette are pretty good, the singer has some voice on her.
