I’ve been really imprssed with the Danzig album. He gets a slagging on here sometimes but I like him.

I’ve only listened to it once, so far.

It’s typical Danzig! But the production is really cheap sounding.
Makes me not want to put it on again.
The songs are definitely there. It just comes across as a lazy effort.
I’ll force myself to go back to it. Maybe it will grow on me.
Tommy Victor is a quality guitarist. But was expecting a bit more from him on this album, too.

I do love the older albums though! Everything since IV is good, but nowhere near as good as the first four.
The usual story from everyone when it comes to Danzigs output.

Evil Elvis is BACK! I really like the new one! Best he has done since Danzig 4 for sure!

Pleasure Death

I’ve always considered Bad Religion to be a fairly average punk band who manage a few great songs per album (usually). Most of their songs are samey and bland. This new song sounds quite good and not like the majority of their stuff, although it’s also one of their most “poppy”.
