Just a thought, with Skunk Anansie now back and Terrorvision reuniting again and again, how much fun would a 4 band tour of T?, Wildhearts. Terrorvison and Skunk Ananise be?
I’d pay a fair buck for that! Lives and dreams…

Personally i feel that T? are way ahead of the other acts you mention Carl, the latest album being a career high, as opposed to the other acts peddling the same tired back catalogue. Skunk Anansie i never saw the appeal in anyway. Surely it’d be a step back for T? to mingle with these also rans?

I’d really not say The Wildhearts were peddling a tired back catalogue, as they played the whole new album on the last tour, but whatever. As good as Crooked Timber is (and it really is, Iv’e bought it twice) to get the fans of these other bands from a similar area of popularity into them could work wonders for them, and indeed any of the other bands involved. Never mind, I shall keep my ideas to myself in future.

Yeah, take Wildhearts out and that would be cool. I have to admit, I don’t like Terrorvision or Skunk Anansie as much at the mighty T? but I have all their albums and the three of them in one night would be good :-)
Then again, as Dan said, the other two aren’t in T?’s league, so you could get an even better gig with other bands involved. Bush are back together now with a new album coming out, so as one of my other favourite UK rock bands, I’d love to see them and T? at the same gig.

Ah, I was wondering, to be honest. When Gavin was trying to get them back together in 2007/8 one member didn’t want to be part of it, and it all fell through - so I was unsure whether he’d changed his mind, or they’d decided to just do it without him… so it’s not the full band then?

Still, Rossdale has kept playing a few Bush classics with Institute and at his solo shows, so I’m sure he’ll be able to put on a good show no matter how much of the original band is with him. I’ve never seen them live either, but I’m hoping to see them when they tour the UK next.

First two terrorvision albums were great, especially how to make friends. Wildhearts i loved to death, but i’ve found everything they’ve released since fishing for luckies (thr proper 6 track mail order edition!) to be, well, poor, the odd song aside. As i’ve said Skunk Anansie i’ve never liked. I just think that in the, god, 14 years or so (?) since these other acts released their best stuff, T? have given us SPYF, never apologise, and the aforementioned crooked timber. T? are pretty peerless to me these days.

I think it’s a good idea, if perhaps wishful thinking. The bands mentioned all have loyal followings and would appeal to the others’ fans. I’d buy a ticket.

As far as half big British bands who were big in the 90’s go, I can’t think of anyone else.

If those bands were all on 1 gig, i would find out what time T? were on and turn up in time for that. Don’t mind The Wildhearts, but Terrorvision and Skunk Anansie are a bit pish really!!

If Therapy? Wildhearts, Skunk Anansie and Terrorvision were on the same bill I would have to look over my shoulder to be sure I wasn’t heading through the pearly gates. What an awesome idea.

Terrorvision are definite back catalogue peddlars - I’ve seen their “last ever” gig about 5 times. Wildhearts continue to record and release good, interesting new music. And Chutzpah! which was neither interesting nor good, Skunk Anansie I missed first time round, but saw their comeback tour last year and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.

As mentioned, Therapy? are peerless even amongst such company, but sadly I doubt they would have the pleasure of them headlining - in fact it woul dlikely be a dogfight between them and Terrorvision for the opening slot :o(

Still - book the gig and I’m there!

Why put these bands together anyhow? Terrorvision don’t really fit this bill. Surely pitchshifter would be better?

How To Make Friends is the only Terrorvision album that I don’t particularly like. Well, I don’t mind it, but it’s not as good as their others. I know they generally have at least a couple of cheesy songs per album, but HTMFAIP had more than any other - I’d say about half the album is good, half is kind of annoying :-)

Other great UK bands that didn’t split up in the 90s include The Cure and Porcupine Tree. Sadly, that’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

That was last year. And it was good to see, especially when Ricky joined T? onstage for Screamager. :)
Really like to see The Almighty again tho, but don’t think it’ll happen. Certainly not on the same bill a T?. :)

i’d love to see this tour on a roatating headliner kinda deal with terrorvision opening, so t? the wildhearts and skunk anansie would all get an equal length set each night and the order of the 3 main acts would be rotated each night, but in reality skunk anansie would probably be the headliners each night.

And Pitchshifter fit this bill how exactly? I used to go see them around 97 / 98 and from what i can remember the gigs tended towards a whole crowd fight (albeit a fairly friendly one) so unless they were headlining everyone would be too fucked for the bands that came afterwards.
