My mate works in the Union bar at queens, he is a big therapy? fan and should know about tickets etc (he got to meet T? when they last played Mandella on the Shameless tour and worked the bar at the gig, lucky divil him). Ill post as soon as i find out when and where they are on sale. For now keep checking http://www.bbc.co.uk/atl for gig news, they are usually first to know when it comes to T? Oh yeah on Support news I heard from another mate, that the band Element will be supporting, don’t quote me on this but he’s ‘usually’ a reliable source.

T? are definitely playing Mandela Hall on the 6th of June as my friend was able to tell me. Her mate is in a local band called somedays better and they are supposed to be supporting T? that night. It’s some benefit for Alternative Ulster, so I suppose the full details are not fully available yet. I’m going to get my ticket as soon as I find out!

Who are you people? I work in the Union so I must know your faces. Last time they played in the union I served Michael McKeegan in the shop and got a signed copy of his receipt, and then gave Martin McCarrick a free game of snooker :D

We should meet up at about lunchtime and just get destroyed in the Bunatee all day

Trying to figure out how the hell to get from rural Yorkshire to Belfast in the course of a day. Baaaaah.

Does anyone have a clue how far it is from Belfast ferry port to the Mandela Hall? It looks like the earliest I can get into Belfast is 6.45pm which doesn’t leave much time… :(

Cheers :) It’s not looking hopeful. Return ferry costs a mere £23 but the train fare to get to the ferry port is £87 - plus none of my friends will part with that much cash to see T? with me. Fools

Try Ryanair (http://www.ryanair.com) or Easyjet (http://www.easyjet.com). I went from Holland to Belfast last year for only E45 for a return ticket! Maybe you can get a cheap flight! Good Luck!

Bugger! Would be really tempted to go, except will be on holiday in Romania until the 8th! Arses!

And it’s getting recorded! Can’t believe that it’s going to be a no-go! Well, hope everyone that does go has a great time, and that some of you get onto the recording!

Thanks for the hints Iris :) I had a look at some flights too and they are quite cheap. The ones from Leeds (city nearest to me, an hour away by train) are lame so I would have to get the coach from Leeds to Manchester Airport - all this would still be cheaper than getting a train to Stranraer!

More problems though, as I am told I need a passport (even though it’s in the UK) and I don’t know if I could get one in time. Plus I need a babysitter - volunteers?

Citizen - can’t you cut your holiday short and drive us to Stranraer? :D Yorkshire folk in it together etc etc..

I’ll be fucking there! I went to school with some of Element - they’re from Portadown, and they rock - are being courted by sony and other large record comapnies. It would be cool if they were playing.

Mandela Hall is small but it is good, nice and lively atmosphere. Plus the beer is cheap.

I honestly would have if I could have, and would’ve been happy to give you a lift in the green machine. Unfortunalte, I’m not in a position where I can afford to lose the money on the holiday, and as we’re off tracking wolves, which are amongst the top 3 things my girlfriend and I bonded on (we both liked wolves, she got me into F1, and I re-educated her music tastes), it’s kind of a really cool thing for us to do. She thinks so too and would probably castrate me if I was to miss a couple of days. We’re back early Sunday morning, so maybe you could have a word with the band and get them to delay things a little?

Anyhow, I emailed Element and apparently they AREN’T psupporting Therapy?

They were originally meant to but their promoter thought they were playing somewhere else (which wa suntrue) and by the time they realised and had told the promoter that they could play it he had already got another band in.

Booo!
