right, after watching videos of sonisphere. im fed up of this thread starters bitching. therapy? had the chance to play to one of the biggest crowds they have probably really played to in the uk in years, a good portion of whom were singing the words back and jumping about. this can only be a positive thing, and also the band are booked to play the kentish town forum soon which again is bigger than the venues they usually play in the uk nowadays. whilst alot of these facts may be due to the nostalgia factor in the troublegum tracks surely the attention the band are getting is a good thing, if you think about it all the reviews and people mentioning sonisphere have mentioned therapy?, the bands name is getting spread like wildfire at the moment and people are seeing that they’re still going strong and havent died, so stop fucking complaining. this isnt a poetic well worded aragrah, but thats because its me almost angrily typing out what is in my mind right now.

Atmosphere is never the same at festivals as it is at smaller gigs. I still wish I was there, though. Looking forward to future gigs. Fingers crossed for a T? reappearance at Sonisphere next year (when I can actually go!)

I’ve been arguing with a guy on the Sonisphere forums about all this who gave T? 1/10 for their gig, saying that he left after the power went the second time cos they didnt offer any explenation to the crowd what was happening which pissed him off.
The power failed, no one near me needed an explanation, the lights, speakers, amps etc all went off, everyone knew what had happened. Its a shame if people blame the whole gig on something that wasnt their fault at all and obviously was something major as the way the roadies were running about panicking filled me with fear of cancellation. I think it was only a select few near the back who walked off, I was in the second row and everyone near me was patient and sympathetic with the band who did exactly as they promised and played the full album with the spirit and anger it deserves. I absolutely loved the gig and everyone near the front was enjoying every last note of it. Dont listen to the doubters, there was nothing the boys could do about it, they couldnt play any longer as Feeder were on half an hour after on a really late slot which had to run on time due to noise curfews.
You’ll be pleased to hear that most reviews on the Sonisphere pages have been positive and most fans sympathise with what happened and agreed that when they played it was awesome.
Personally I loved every second of it, even when my mate started a “dont worry bout me” chant during the blackout.

If you are, the guy you’re arguing with seems a right tool. How are they supposed to announce a power failure when you need power to do so?!

Thats me, I dont post a lot on there but that guy really wound me up, I wouldnt mind if any of his points were valid but judging a gig by not even watching the fuckin thing just pissed me off. I havnt looked to see if he replied to my latest rant as I can be bothered to preach sense to such a twat.
