Kyuss

Been listening to my old Kyuss albums (Josh Homme’s band pre-QOTSA) recently, top stuff indeed! Blues For The Red Sun has to be my favourite, a great mix of heavy and melodic rock, all totally groovy. Er, man.

Kyuss are so great. My favourites are Gardenia from Sky Valley and One Inch Man from And The Circus Leaves Town.
QOTSA are sort of Kyuss going pop, but great as well.

Not yet but I’m definitely gonna buy the latest one. I saw the songs with PJ Harvey performed on TV and they were class.

It was the first Kyuss-Song I ever heard, and for me it is still their best song.

wow, this IS an old thread! I actually remember creating an account on here in 2003 at a library somewhere and forgot all about it. Time zips by fast. Anyway, yeah, Kyuss= good stuff. I particularly enjoy the song “Writhe” off of Blues for the Red Sun.

There was a newer Kyuss vs QOTSA thread, I was gonna post it there but I know how nostalgic we all get so I stuck it here ;)

yeah, I know I can get really nostalgic. Sometimes I think I time-warped into the 80s and early 90s. And I think it’s hilarious that I found my old account on here: “Bushrat81- signed up 3 Nov 2003 - last on: 3 Nov 2003”. Yikes!

At the Hellfest, from what some friends of mine, who were there, told me ,they also could have played together “Demon Cleaner” but Kiss, performing on the “main Stage” at the same moment, were about to perform “I was made for loving” and required the organisation a perfect silence around just for that song,so they didn’t…
