I’ve never heard Rust Rust before.

Looks real enough. I got a bunch of Alice in Chains albums in a pack like that a couple of years ago.

Looks like one of those releases that blurs the line between official and bootleg. Maybe they have some sort of license to sell that in Brazil but in reality, it looks quite suspect. I’m not buying it.

Is it not just the two cds in a cardboard box?

Thats what i was thinking… Just seems more like a “special price” double pack than a “collectors item”. Seen things like that before in HMV…

yeah, its not that special but as a “collector” you have to get them while you can so you dont have to “cry” later ya know:D

Never been tempted to buy these kind of packages. Always prefered to get ‘em seperately, and if I’m a late comer to a band thats been around longer than I have I’d avoid those packages =- remember Sabbath had a couple of them out ie Paranoid/Sabbath Bloody Sabbath for a fiver.

Yeah, I don’t understand it either if people do actually buy these packages. They mostly look horrible… but from a collector’s point of view this releases are pretty interesting.

Not sure about that, Soul Doubt, they somewhat cheapen the appeal of the work. I’d rather the albums that I taped when i was a kid than buy those.

Taping albums…now that is going back a bit.

whats wrong with buying these sort of packages? it doesnt cheapen the music in any way, the cds inside are exactly the same, in the same cases as they are on their own, only difference is they come in a box which you can throw away anyway and you’d never know the difference.

The Alice in Chains one I got was pretty damn good. Facelift, Dirt and Sap for a tenner. I also got one a while back with Dirt and Unplugged for £7.

I already owned Dirt, but hey, easy presents for people. In both cases I was paying an extra penny to get the package rather than getting the separate releases.

There are ones which are just single CD cases and that’s kind of shite, although it did give me a good leg-up with Faith No More when I was a bit curious about them. Can you really argue with getting The Real Thing and Angel Dust together for a fiver, even if they don’t come in the proper cases?

I’ve no problem with these packs whatsoever. They’re usually very good value, but I wouldn’t class them as any kind of collectable, rather, a budget release which are a good find if you don’t already have the albums.
