Ok, if everyone could just calm down a bit, I’ll try to answer all your questions about the results. I don’t mean any offence by anything I’ll say below, but some of the things that some of you are saying don’t make much sense, although I do understand they come from a feeling of disappointment.
First of all, the statements of several people that the results are fake. Short answer: no, they’re not. Long answer: Think about it this way, either I faked them or Therapy? did. As for the first possibility, you’d best believe that I did not vote for these songs. I’ve been a big T? fan for quite some time and have seen them live quite a few times as well, so it just wouldn’t make any sense for me to fake the results to what they are now. I saw this as an opportunity to vote for songs I’ve never heard live before and that doesn’t include this top 3.
Besides this, I would never do something like this; my mother raised me better than that.
As for Therapy? faking them as they would be too lazy to learn the new songs, as someone mentioned, or for any other reason. No offence but… yeah, right. Do you REALLY believe Therapy? would do this? Why on earth would they go through the trouble of organizing this, having me make a poll, counting the results, etc. etc. Just doesn’t make sense.
When I e-mailed the results to Michael I said: “To be honest, I was quite surprised to see the likes of Teethgrinder and Potato Junkie up there, as this was THE opportunity for every one to get to hear ‘obscure’ songs live for the first time!”
He replied: “Thanks for the results…pretty surprising to say the least! I totally agree with you about people voting for ‘obvious’ songs…I mean it’s pretty obvious that we’ll be playing Screamager!!!” (Please note that Screamager was also high up on the list, in 7th place)
And more importantly, he also said this: “… to be honest we resolved NOT to play Teethgrinder at all this tour…”.
So, everyone saying that they would have played Teethgrinder anyway, think again. The only reason they are playing Teethgrinder this tour is because of this poll (!), so all people wanting to see Neil play Teethgrinder should actually be very happy with the results :D
On another note, please know that approx. 88% of the votes came from people who are NOT a member of the boards, so trying to guess the correctness of the poll by looking at the posts of people in this thread is very unreliable to say the least.
On a related note, quite a few of us have been fortunate enough to see T? live several times, but don’t forget there are loads of people (probably most of the people who voted) have not. Can we blame them for voting for these songs if they want to see them live? The poll was for everyone, not just for the ‘die-hard fans’.

No offence, but five people actually said they voted for this song in the entire thread, so your comment is not based on facts. The songs actually got 20 votes and ended up in 44th place.

I hope I have been able to shed some light on the results as they came out, and that I haven’t offended any of you by what I said. If I did, it came out of a feeling that it’s not fair to T? to accuse them of faking the results, as this is definitely not the case.
I’ll leave you now with the top 50 of the results so you can see what people have voted for, other than the top 3. Behind each title is the number of votes for that song. There were a total of 2261 valid votes for individual songs, by 775 people.
