Yeah, Unbeliever was definitely my highlight as well. But I thought they were right on top form from the word go. Whenever Andy walked out and said somethin like “Look, I know yiz are here for Troublegum, but we’re gonna play all sorts of shit tonight” before launching straight into Meat Abstract you just knew it was gonna be a good un! The stage dive by Don Schultz guy at the end of Enjoy The Struggle was class as well.

Great show lads, i’m in pain today, held the line at the front for the whole thing. I feel compelled to tell you that the guy who stage divided was Willy Mundell from Dutch Schultz, another of Ballyclare’s fine rockers!

first time seeing Therapy and was not disappointed, what a gig!

great idea to play Troublegum in it’s entirety from start to finish, spent all day today singing ‘Trigger Inside’ :)

the night was slightly ruined at the end though, without warning the security guards pushed the metal barrier against the crowd and knocked my girlfriend from her feet, she hurt her back pretty bad :( anyone else see this? need to follow-up with a complaint to QUB, the security staff were pig ignorant! But it couldn’t ruin a fantastic gig!

I was right at the front but I didn’t see anything, sorry.

I’ve got to say that there is only one band I would travel so far to go and see. Was well worth the airport, the taxi fare, the drunken guy in the hostel…the hangover…lol!
Just an absolute quality set. I thought that they were just going to do Troublegum and was totally chuffed to bits when they played everything else, too. I missed Accelerator, Sister and Polar Bear, though. Oh shut up, Anna, stop complaining!
I’ve been watching Therapy? for sixteen years and they are one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. The energy and the enthusiasm was there all the way through.
So, I’m living off lentils for the rest of the month and my ears are still ringing but bloody hell, it was worth it.
PS Was great catching up with the Wombles, too! Hello again!

Wot can I say? Thank you Therapy? Fanfuckingtastic! Another great night - got right up to the barrier, and was almost within touching distance of Andrew James Cairns. It was an honour to be there and see Troublegum performed in its entirety. I’ve been watching therapy? live for 17 years, and the atmosphere was one of the best ever. Came home soaked in beer, cider, vodka+red bull (thanks guys!) and sore all over, but extremely happy. Happy 20th birthday Therapy?
Many thanks to the guy who helped protect my wife from the extremes of the moshpit!

@ gf - Hello :-D - I thought I saw you up in the balcony!! I was in no fit state afterwards - I doubt I could have strung much of a conversation together lol - hopefully I’ll see you in London if you’re heading there :-)

Thanks Fiona. Well, 45 minutes is longer than I expected. I thought they’d broadcast 5 or 6 songs only. I was hoping to hear the first three songs of the night, but I guess hearing Femtex & Unrequited will atone for that! :-)

I’m gonna try record it from the radio channel on the TV onto my dvd recorder. I’ve never done it that why before so who knows what’ll happen…

I second that, An!
Fiona, if you could put it to cassette from FM it would be great. We don’t get the BBC FM feed here so I’ll be hoping the digital wizardry of ‘radio stations on the telly’ will save the day. If not, it would be nice if someone else recorded it too.

@ Alan: If you have a cable with male jacks on both sides, you can plug it into to TV’s headphones jack and on the other side in the edirol’s mic’s jack and record it onto edirol.

That setlist simply kicks ass - for all I care they just leave it as is and I will be hoarse the next day.

Cool, I’ll give that a try! Will the input level of the Edirol matter? I guess I’ll need the headphones connected to the Edirol in order to hear the gig while it’s recording?

I’m not sure, how you can hear the gig while it’s playing. It might be safe to test it before the gig is on…
as for the levels, I think “automatic” will be ok, unless you play it on an extremely loud volume :) (but don’t change your volume while recording)

What I’ll probably do is still record onto the dvd recorder, just to be safe. Afterwards then I can mess about with the Edirol, taking the feed from the dvd playback. Solves my problem of how to transfer the audio from the dvd though, cheers! If all goes well, a copy shall find it’s way to you! :)

Nice to meet folks too. My first WOMbles meetup. Hopefully everyone made it home okay … Belfast isn’t as scarely as you heard, is it !!

Alas, I’m not going to make it down to Dublin for the gig. Really annoyed over that, but glad I got the other night in.

I’ll see if I can get some digital recording off ATL if I can.

Hiya all
Just logged on. Am recording it off the internet as we speak. When I figure out how the hell to put it on here I’ll let you all know. Have missed first 20 min though. I’m trying my hardest but I’m shite at this technology thing. I miss tapes but, then again, I live in Manchester so wouldn’t be able to listen to it at all if it wasn’t for the beauty of the internet.
It’s La Faro at the moment…I’ll keep it running…
