MEAT ABSTRACT demo cassette on eBay

#

Started by Jobrok (John O))))

Winter is closing in! I’m skint! So need to make a few sacrifices in order to keep the wife and 3 nippers warm.

I’m selling my MEAT ABSTRACT demo cassette, if anyone is interested.
I presume most of the maniac die-hards have it already, but worth letting folks know I suppose.
Put it up on eBay last week. Meant to post about it here, but then it was the weekend and totally slipped my mind.

3 days left.

To be honest! I wasn’t expecting it to go for much more than the reserve I set for it.
Money is pretty tight for most people at the moment.
I have a lot of expenses myself at the moment, so decided to bite the bullet and make a few sacrifices.
Am I sad to see it go? Absolutely.
But as I’ve said before. My T? collecting days are pretty much over.
Time to pass the torch to some more deserving T? fans.

Not that cheap! I paid around that a few years ago, maybe even a bit less, can’t remember exactly.
You got a good price dude.

Exactly! Alan.

A few years ago.

But I’m happy with the price!
And even happier that I know it’s going to one of us.

Just had the demo tape playing for while.
The missus and I are half way through a bottle of Bicardi Gold 8 Year Reserve.

Giving it a good send off.

Had the walls and attic pumped earlier today, so well toasty as we’re toasting.
Noticable difference on the first night, so at least the funds are being well spent.

I’d be too scared to play the demo tape if I owned it incase the tape got twisted or broke.

Those tapes aren’t meant to play any more, but to collect. You can find the songs on the internet so you can keep the demo safely in it’s box!! :)

I made MP3s directly from the original tapes which are available online; http://jobrok1.webs.com/therapydownloads.htm

The MA demo tape is pretty sturdy, considering how old it is.
It was well looked after before I got hold of it and it has been well looked after as long as I’ve had it.

The 30 Seconds… demo tape I sold to you, An, was kinda flimsy incomparison.
But still played fine.

Sound quality on both is really low, but I managed to get the MP3s to a pretty goodvolume without ruining the songs.

As a bonus to the new owner of MA, I got the band to sign it after the gig last night.
How’s that for service?

actually I see the signatures as “damage” since Neil has got nothing to do with it, that’s just my opinion, I don’t know how other collectors see it. But that’s the reason why I got a second copy of the 30 Seconds Of Silence demotape :)

If Andy & Michael signed it, fine, but if Neil did as well then I wouldn’t like that so much! I always think only whoever plays on it should sign it.

Andy and Michael signed the main inlay on the recording details section.

I got Neil to sign it on the blank back of the inlay.
Can’t be seen unless you go looking for it.
So no harm really, IMO. Didn’t want him to feel left out! ;-)

I think he would understand. Personally the blank back is part of the demo, so should stay in it’s original condition or signatures of those who participated.
But that’s just my opinion, as long as the one who bought it is happy with the signatures, there’s no problem. :)
