Cool. Thanks Anna.
Interestingly, they broadcast ‘Nowhere’ straight away at 8pm. Does that mean they’ll not play it again in sequence with the rest of the album? (the T? section will begin after the 9pm news)

I hope not! I only turned on at 8.20!!!
BTW why do the Ulster News newsreaders sound like they are from the Home Counties?

I take it back. Definitely N. Irish. My ears are f*cked. I blame a certain gig on Friday night.
My recording of Axis Of worked…fingers crossed for this one…

OK, here’s what they broadcast;
Nowhere (at 8pm - I missed this, did anyone get an mp3?)
(from 9pm onwards…)
Nausea
Fantasy Bag
Exiles
Rust
Epilepsy
Stories
Teethgrinder
Screamager
Unbeliever
Trigger Inside
Isolation
Turn
Unrequited
Brainsaw
Innocent X
I recorded it off the soundcard from the ‘net. My plan of recording from digital radio backfiring spectacularly!
As I said earlier, the one I missed was ‘Nowhere’ so if anyone could email me it to fyfe79 at yahoo.co.uk , I’d think you were well nice :-)

I’m recording from DAB to MD. I’ll try to get it on to CD at some stage so if you’re patient I’ll probably have it for sharing in a week or two.
I’m also Sky+ing it as a back-up in case of mishaps!!
Did your DAB to MD work? Got it completely? I would be really interested in that one :)

Best skip the Dublin gig then … You’ll be in for a shock, & not a Short Sharp one !!

I got the whole gig. Had to take a feed from my Sky+ box onto minidisc but the quality is pretty much the same as DAB.
However the FM broadcast itself was a pretty poor quality mix. Cymbals high, bass low, guitar all over the place!! It’s a nice wee souvenier of the gig all the same.
I’ll get it on to CD asap, probaly a couple of weeks as I have to get a mate to do it for me.
I’ll put it up on yousendit or something & let ye all know.

Is the quality and volume of the DAB/Sky digital recording much better and louder than the iplayer version?
I tried to record through my digital TV signal but it messed up, so I had to make do with the webcast.

That’s true. Not sure if it’s the BBC’s fault or Therapy’s soundman, but the guitars sound weird and jangly.

i agree.
also, i’m not very knowledgeable about this stuff, but surely it’s possible to just fade the vocals instead of everything if there is swearing? although i remember the first T? gig i was at was also broadcast on ATL way back in ‘95 and they “bleeped” the swearing then. there were some very long “bleeps” ;)

I know nothing about computers but I do know that I have a recording of the show on the computer.
Does anyone know a website or somewhere where I can put this so that you guys can all access it and download it? That seems the easiest way. I’ve split it up into two recordings: Axis Of and Lafaro and then Therapy?
Was gutted at the amount they didn’t broadcast, though. I also missed ‘Nowhere’ at the beginning.
Anyway, if anyone can help me and tell me where to share it then I will happily put it up somewhere.

It sounded way better live. I think the radio station seemed to forget to turn the bass on when they recorded it…it sounds quite tinny!

Well, judging from the Cork gigs, there’s no issue with the live guitar sound. BBC NI seem to have problems recording T? - I remember the 2000 gig broadcast sounded awful as well. It’s just a shame that the average radio listener would probably not give T? another listen after that.
