Has anyone else seen the really funny and quite bizarre adverts for the new season of the Ozbournes on MTV with Dev in?

The guy is a lunatic

I can’t wait to get it. They are heavy as fuck. You’re always guaranteed a quality album from them.

I didnt like it too much at first but its really grown on me - the guy is clearly nuttier than squirrel shit and not afraid to do exactly what he wants on record.

I love all of Devins stuff.

I have to agree with “Deadsetgav” though.
Even when you are not that impressed with some of his albums at first, they always grow on you over time.

TERRIA is a good example for me.
I though it was only OK at first. Now I think it’s one of the best albums of the last decade. Pure genius!!!

Haven’t heard SYNCHESTRA yet. But I’m really looking forward to checking it out soon.

Fair play to the guy

Ki has started to grow on me - There are a couple of songs that I’m not to keen on, and his borderline falsetto vocals should probably stay in the shower… but the album, as usual, is a real grower.

I saw some rehersal footage of songs for the new album - It sounds immense!

I’ve just been getting into SYL and Townsend’s solo stuff recently. Haven’t got any albums yet though. And I was also put off his solo stuff by a couple of the songs I heard sounding very religious lyrically… is that a common theme in his lyrics?

WTF…???

Unless you mean the SYL song, ‘Oh My Fucking God’.
What a beast of a track that one is.

Well stuff like this used to always make me feel full of the spirit of the lord.

“Fucker
You fucker
Fucker
Get out of my face, get off my case
You’re a fucker
You’re all fuckers
And I don’t fucking care”

Amen :)

Well one of the songs I heard was called Triumph - can’t be bothered to listen to it again right now, but a lyrics site tells me the lyrics are:

Calling, it’s calling, I can’t stay here
…Knowing there’s no higher.
Going, I’ve gone for so many years…
…Going makes me tired.
And they said it was this, and they said it was that, and they said it was this and they said…

But it’s…

Call for me Jesus, I’m waiting here
Knowing I’m a liar
Knowing I’ve known more than half my share…
Knowing bade this triumph!
…and they said it was this
…and they said it was that,
And they said it was this and they said…

Sounds pretty damn religious to me. And he might have songs with “fucker” in the title, but even religious people can swear ;-)
