if it dosent clear completly try it mixed a little stronger ,with hot water (as long as your sure the pipes arent frozen) ,and make sure you give it plenty of time ,in case the blockage is paticulary stubborn ,ideally give it a healthy dose just before bedtime ,so it has more than enough time to clear the blockage completly ,in theory the worst that that can block a pipe is fat solidifying ,but if used properly “caustic soda” will shift virtually anything if the mix is strong enough ,again boring but true

No boiler until tomorrow at the earliest. It’s the ignition board and if the one the guy can get hold of doesn’t work it’s a special order item - so 14 days! Definitely not got enough wood for that long. Ah well, that’s life, best get on with it rather than mope.

I had to push the big lumps down the plughole with a skewer, which may have contrbuted to the blockage, although I mainly blame the other half’s hair. Hope you get your plumbing sorted soon tho :-)

I did get bloody caught! It’s been sat there since effing September and last night, only one day after I stole it for my own, the boy finally decides that what he really wants to drink is his bottle of fizz. He’d even brought me a bottle of Bailey’s, you know, just to add to the guilt-trip.

I’d actually been on the Wrong records page and somehow managed to totally not see the Southern Records link, Amazon only seemed to have it as a download and I’ve lost quite a bit of music through hard drives breaking in the past (And being stupid enough to not back things up) so I prefer to buy Vinyl/CD nowadays. That Southern Records site is dangerous - my cart got to £70+ in 20 minutes!

so. a serious one here. for the last year myself and two other friends have been sharing a house. but the last six months the other two chaps have not been getting on very well. silly little things like leaving dirty dishes about (one is a clean freak and one is, essentially a tramp) or what not. and me, being the humble gobetween has had to endure this. and to be fair, i’m a bit fed up with it. to the point where i’m wanting to leave. suggestions?
