Kyuss or Queens Of The Stone Age

#

Started by Superunknown

Inspired by the other thread.

Which band do you prefer?

Judging only by the vocals I gotta go with Kyuss and I think the best Kyuss-songs are better than the best QOTSA-songs.

Still, QOTSA are more consistent and I like the cleaner production. I’ll go with QOTSA.

(Can’t we post Polls anymore?)

I’d pick Kyuss. especially blues for the red sun always hammers with a heavy impact on my sanity. I must ad that QOTSA ar by far the best radio-rock band these days and they have been since day one. Did anybody ever take a shot at Hermano? They’ve also got some good stuff.

What do you mean with he believed his hype ? On the other hand I just think that QOTSA still continue to play in the same direction. Always the same sound, always the same rythm, melody. But that’s still cool anyway. You see, I haven’t still bought their new album so far. Already heard it.

Kyuss or QOTSA? Both bands are like flawless diamonds, can’t decide which one would be the better diamond.

But I’d pick Brant Bjork’s band. =P

Weird felling I had. Both bands are excellent. Just whenever I first heard Kyuss I wondered : Ok it’s cool ! this band kicks my ass but i already heard that somewhere. I think Kyuss sounds very very close to Bleach of Nirvana. Anyhow Kyuss is the start of QOTSA’s inspiration. With no problem.
If we must to chose the only one of both. I definitely chose QOTSA

Kyuss spawned and inspired loads of great bands, Queens’ robot rock idea seems to have fueled the fire of this funk-punk crap, which is terrible crime on there part.
