I think Ten is their best and Vs is a good second. A good place to start would be their Rearviewmirror best of thing.

I did the exact same thing with PJ. Get Vs or Rearviewmirror next. I also recommend the Touring Band 2000 DVD as it’s pretty cheap but with loads of great songs. Also good: Riot Act, Backspacer, No Code, Binaural.
I misunderstood this question first time. My first album was Troublegum in 2007 - MTACT came out around that time, I think. My first ‘new’ album would be Crooked Timber but I didn’t buy it for about six months after it came out… only album I’ve bought as soon as it was available would be We’re Here To The End.

It is - happened to listen to it on the way home tonight. Not the strongest album overall but has some very strong individual tracks on it…

I Got a very early demo tape mid 1990 that Micheal had recorded of their sessions and possibly from the Limelight (1st ???) gig
Brillant raw potential and rage sound. Unfortunately the ex snatched it in 1993.
1st I actually bought was Die Laughing.

I think Yeild is a pretty good album - its got Brain of J on it :)
I went off PJ when No Code came out - it was about 3-4 years until I could get into it.

Babyteeth on vinyl probably from Comet or Freebird right when it came out.
Yup I’m an old fart, but someone has to keep all you young whippersnappers in shape!
Excellent stuff. Me and my mates all had one copy of Babyteeth on vinyl from Comet that got copied onto many TDK and BASFs.

Nah preferred Sony metals meself!
Was living in Dublin, turntable was in Mayo, would go home for a weekend with about 5-10 lps and tape
them all for walkman duty.
Result was that I have a shitload of vinyl that is in perfect nick ‘cos I only played them a couple of times!
Most have made it to NY thanks to my carryon (which fits 42 lps!) and as long as they don’t weigh it I’m
fine!
Except for Babyteeth which my brother nicked from me and he doesn’t even have a turntable!

Troublegum, like (I think) most of the oldies amongst us. I then also bought the Die Laughing single with the ‘he he he he’ laughing voice. After all these years (Almost 20!!) it still works!
