I do still love queens and what Josh is doing… But it does feel right with the new guy, they seem to be loving it and the songs sound great.
Guess doing a new album will be the test.

Was also at that Kyuss gig - Divers is right, the new guitarist absolutely nailed it. Not impressed at the queue for the bar though!

Manic Street Preachers at Wolves Civic last Thursday - excellent, band’s on top form
Rush at NEC last night - Also very, very good. But what’s the point of paying through the nose for a seat when every c*nt stands up?!

Neville Staple last night, great fun and lots of old Rudeboys / Skinheads in attendance (slight downside being that even at 50 years old some of them still can’t handle their drink and end up being dicks). Gaijin as support were great as well.

Adam Ant last night.
Set was loaded towards the earlier stuff, which is no bad thing, though it did mean I didn’t know quite a few of the songs. He’s on good form though and he’s still a great frontman, even if he is dangerously close to being a cross between Alan Carr and Benny Hill these days.

god damned, too many gigs, not so much time and money.
I saw Clutch last Tuesday in Athens @ Gagarin 205 with Lucky Funeral as support. Even though that the band decided not to play major hits (The Regulator, Ghosts), the set consisted of tracks that satisfied every single spectator.
A big surprise was Lucky Funeral, a greek band which is playing death/grind stoner! First time i heard such combination and i was blown off.
Cheers

As there was no football match of my team this weekend ( inbetween Champions League qualifiers ) the misus thought it was a great opportunity to drag me along to The Coronas , KT Tunstall and that Royseven fella in a marquee tent in Marlay Park in Dublin.
KT was good actually , for the rest I mainly hung out at the mojito bar outside trying to get drunk.
