So, I see you’ve relisted the Bad Mother CD, but with a reserve this time, did the original buyer not pay then? (the addition of the reserve suggests otherwise but maybe I’m just cynical!)

Got an email saying that the original winner didn’t pay and that the item was to be relisted.

I did think my original post was being unfair on the seller about 10 minutes after I’d posted it, think it’s having a few issues with ebay making me assume the worst with people. Good luck with your bidding Gav,

Don’t really understand getting Neil to sign a single he didn’t play on. Not bidding on this copy as that would really annoy me!

I kinda thought that too (not that that is the only reason I didn’t go for the win)

on top of that, andy’s written sth like respect to greece on the sleeve :P now perhaps it would make sense for me to get it, but for someone from the uk, or germany or wherever? i wouldn’t pay for it more than half the price i would normally pay for another bad mother, the guy has spoiled it.

I won’t buy anything signed, not my thing, but I do thin it’s weird to get something signed by a different line up of a band than the one that made the recording. Having said that I’m still not going to spend that much on any cd! (Have spent £50 on a 7” recently though).

I will tell you a little bed time story like every mother (not bad one) would tell you…
In September 2002 a Greek guy living in the UK bought a Bad Mother copy directly from a Belgian collector for $30.
On October 2004 the copy travelled to Camberley’s Rock Box at a T? instore gig where it was signed in front of a video camera by Andy, Michael and Neil. Neil was very hesitant to sign the copy since he never played on the single but it was Andy that said “Go on, you are family now” (also on video :) ). Andy signed the copy with the phrase “Respect to Greece”.
In 2007 the Greek guy returned home to Greece after living for 15 years in the UK. Financial issues forced him to sell on W.O.M. the above mentioned copy for 120 quid.
In 2011 the same copy (from a different seller than buyer above) is for auction on ebay. Greek guy watches item BUT eventually forgets to bid even if he is so determined to get it back. Gutted!
Seller relists the copy after a week as winning bidder never paid for it.
Eventually the copy returns to ebay and the Greek guy is destined to get this back to his hands. Thus he offers 80 quid only and the copy is his.
Yes, the winner was me and if you think I have ruined the copy and you didn’t bid for it I would just like to THANK YOU so much (I am not being sarcastic) for letting me having this back even if you never knew the whole story behind it :) This copy means a lot to me and was so hard to give it away that was haunting me for years! After 7 years it is back baby! And yeah as Pete says Fyfe was never around to sign it for me :) Neil was and Andy + Mike were cool for him to sign it ;) respect :)
