Yeah, will probably just burn a cdr with the track (after the album comes out), print off the artwork and there you go, I’ll have the single.

In the internet age, I just don’t see the point in releasing just one track, without b-sides. Different if they released a one sided 7” for example, I’d buy that for it’s uniqueness. But a download without exclusives? Hmmm…

Yeah, I’m all for supporting a great band, but if you buy this download-only single, you’re just paying for the same thing twice (presuming you’re also getting the album). I suppose it’s ok for people who only want the single, but it’s not something to interest fans of the band.

just the single song? i’d quite happily pay the 89p for an unreleased (or to be unreleased other than on the album) track. but for one that i’ve already heard or can watch until the album comes out. no no. not exactly shrewd marketing there boys.

I check the T? listings on feebay every day or so - not seen one and would really hope not to until the album is released. So basically you’ll have to wait :-D And it’s 2 weeks, not a month, see - wait halved just like that!

I meant for the single. They did this for Rock You Monkeys, Die Like a Motherfucker, and at least 1 song of OCFA

Ah right, not seen any promos of the single on there either then, if I see one I’ll PM you if you like. Really DLAMF? not Rise Up? More T? stuff I don’t own out there then.

I bought it in the end to support the cause as well. Just find it a shame because they normally usually have b-sides of some sort. T? are the only band where I still buy singles - was hoping some of the leftover tracks from the recording sessions would be the b-sides.

Anyways, fuck it - love this band and can’t wait for the album. Amen

That’s pretty much my thoughts, really didn’t fancy just streaming it for two weeks.

Hopefully they’re keeping back the other tunes for maybe ABCOL 2! or some mini albums, that’s been suggested as well.

As long as the tracks see the light of day in some shape or form - happy days. I was hoping that some would be included with the single, would have probably improved the sales also.

Ah shucks, bought it anyways on iTunes now and loving the song.

Not that they should end after this album - but it would be kind of fitting to end their career on two mini-albums the same way it started.

Two short CD’s on year apart of all the best stuff that didn’t quite make it onto past albums.

Anyone any ideas on the lyrics yet? I worked this out but bits of it are definitely wrong;

With heavey tread and trickle feet
I drag my bodies behind me
Everything’s absurd, everything feels strange
I experience time as a terrible ache

Alone and unbalanced on the busy street
I’m living in the shadow of a terrible thing
Windows shatter and alarm bells scream
I’m living in the shadow of a terrible thing

Half-wits on their own have lost all purpose
Those Vergil apposites have got a new tour bus
A godless miserable faded light
I heard it never needs your my lived life

Sink in slowly and risk miasma
Too much hurt for my head to handle
Came on a hope and a handful of chances
Cause if you take away the future then the present collapses

You’ve definitely done better than me! Aside from “treacle” and “baggage,” I think “have got a new tour bus” might be “have got to interpret.” And “I heard it never needs your my lived life” could be “I heard it every inch of my lived life.” But I’ll wait for the lyric sheet to be certain. ;-)

Treacle feet and baggage makes more sense, think you’re right. I heard it every inch of my lived life sounds much closer. Don’t think it’s interpret but I’m really not sure. Andy’s kinda unintelligible a lot of the time :)

Living In The Shadow Of The Terrible Thing

With heavy tread and treacle feet
I drag my baggage behind me
Everything’s absurd, everything feels strange
I experience time as a terrible ache

Alone and unnoticed on the busy street
I’m living in the shadow of the terrible thing
Windows shatter and alarm bells ring
I’m living in the shadow of the terrible thing

Halfway down the road i’ve lost all purpose
No Virgil at my side to guide and interpret
Darkness visible, failing light
I hurt in every inch of my lived life

Sinking slowly in this miasma
Too much hurt for my head to handle
Hanging on to hope and a handful of chances
Because if you take away the future then the present collapses
