Enter Shikari’s new album, it’s good!

I guess Enter Shikari aren’t the sort of band the average T? fans will like, but the new album, A Flash Flood Of Colour, is a belter! I don’t normally have any time for music with extensive electronic elements in (unless it’s Nine Inch Nails), and I can’t normally stand dub step, drum n bass etc, but I think this album is fantastic. And they seem to be one of the only British bands, other than The King Blues, who are commenting on the current state of the worlds problems ie financial debt, the environment etc. Highly recommended!

Au contraire me compadre , I quite like Enter Shikari. Think they are more than dub step and dnb though.

In fact , our own Andy J Cairns is apparently rather fond of dub step.

They’re from a town near me, used to be part of the local music scene, seen them play live but only because I was there to see some of the other bands on the bill - but fair play to them, they’re doing OK for themselves and while i don’t really like their sound it’s always good to see a band that aren’t in the mainstream make a living out of it and get a decent following. Not heard the new album but might have a listen at some point.

Is an electric guitar and effects pedals not an electronic element then? ;-)

I loved the first album and Juggernaut. I had a listen to a new track called Gandhi Mate, Gandhi and found it really embarassing! Rou shouting politics over some bleepy bloopy computer noises!! I think I might have to try a bit harder with this one but its all good cos they might be number 1 at the weekend which means some other shite isn’t!

Hehe, I own a CD titled: Beeps, Bleeps & Basslines, and used to DJ (badly) drum & bass many years ago, but I must admit I’ve never found many rock / DnB crossovers that work, Atari Teenage Riot Vs Slayer - No Remorse (from the soundtrack album to Spawn) being the only one I can think of.
