Any non-UKers found it in the recordstore yet?
After not receiving my pre-order from Global Music (probably lost in the mail), I’ve been looking for it in local stores since Friday, they keep telling me everywhere it will arrive February 17th ;-(

Yes, I know Global’s got a very good service. My Crooked Timber sleeve was damaged and they send a replacementsleeve right away.
I’ve already contacted them last week and they will send a replacement if it’s not in the mail today. I just it so badly that I’m checking recordstores :)
I seem to have problems with every Therapy? release I pre-order, soon I’ll be on Global’s black list :p (Belgian Post are a bunch of twats)

I ordered a record from a seller in Belgium recently, took 3-4 days if I remember rightly (but that’s probably not what you want to hear right now, sorry)

I know most of you don’t appreciate Shameless, but that’s just because you’re all deranged ;-)
^ This.
Shamelss is a great album, one of my favourite T? releases.
I’ll get lambasted for this, but I’d much rather listen to Shameless these days than Troublegum.

In how many peaces did it arrive? :)
I’ve got no complaints about the speed at which the Belgian Post delivers, usually. But their attitude if something goes wrong (and that happens a lot: damaged or opened, delivered at the wrong address, not being delivered at all)

Your opinion may well be correct - but for now it’s not a fact, facts are things that can be proved and happen consistently - this cannot be proved yet and only a tour of the album will answer the consistently aspect of it. If everyone keeps going to the bar every venue is going to want to book T? as they’ll be raking it in ;-)

Seems their have been lots of positive reviews lookign at all the FB posts. I did wonder how many are credible reviews and how many are blog posts by fans. I see the dawn of the deaf one has a big note on it that the guy writing it is a ‘fanboy’. Are they just being unfair to someone with a knowledge of the band or fair cop?

There is a review in the new Metal Hammer (8/10), Its not a gushing fanboy review, that said - it is written by Edwin McFee who is a member of this messageboard.

Hmmn, this does come across as though I’m trying to pick an argument, bit of my current arguing on rugby blogs creeping in here, apologies for that, but I do think I’ll reserve judgement until after the event.

Nothing from Amazon yet, so iTunes it is.
Fuck.
Where to start.
The absolute best thing about Therapy? Is their total and utter mastery of developing and changing their style with each and every album. I knew what this album was going to sound like, I KNEW it. I was totally totally wrong, so I had to listen to it. You know, properly listen to it.
I listened 3 times and I’m scared, paranoid and uncomfortable. It’s a quite unsettling piece of music. It took me years to properly get SPYF, but it’s my favourite album. This is a great album. I need to listen to it more and more, but I do most of my listening in the car and on my own, and I’m not sure it’s an album to listen to unless there’s someone to look after you after.
Brilliant?

THis album is fucking weird yo! Good weird though. First listen, really enjoying it. I was scared they’d either make Crooked Timber II or revert back to a pastiche of their nineties sound, but this is something else entirely. Good on yer, boys. Peerless.
