So, we know the band have a load of songs left over and are ‘discussing’ what to do with them. What do you all suggest?

Release them all on one disc, either as an offcuts album that would hopefully merit a full release if ABCOL does well, or through the website and at gigs.

Two mini albums, if indeed they have the reported 12 songs (and think they are all release-quality).

Three EP’s.

B-sides to forthcoming ABCOL singles.

Some combination of the above?

Any other ideas? I like the idea of having them all on one disc myself, much like The Wildhearts did with the extra tracks from Chutspah!, stuck them out as a great and very eclectic 8-track album with nice sleevenotes about each song. I bet they have some great photos left over from the ABCOL shoot for the artwork. Also I’d rather pay the band money for them than get them as free downloads or something.

I’d forgotten about those rerecordings they did in 2010, Alan - let’s have THEM as b-sides and the ABCOL stuff as a stand-alone release!

They may of course go down the ‘gold edition’ route again, but I’d be much happier to pay for a gold edition that had lots of brand new songs (on a second disc, maybe) rather than just some alt. mixes and remixes as on Crooked Timber Gold. The sample mixes are pretty cool, mind.

Suspect it’ll be a few more days before the recod company decide what they want to do next - can’t see a decision being made within the first week of ABCOL coming out.

Wonder how well LITSOTTT did as a single?

I’m a huge fan of T?’s b-sides. Some real gems have been released on the singles. I went through bit of an obsessive e-bay phase about 7-8 years ago buying the singles and getting the non album songs. Hopefully the extras will be released at some stage.
