Just checked out those previews… the album sounds bat-shit mental. I love it, very promising :)

So far my favourite clips are Marlow & Ecclesiastes. I think I read somewhere Marlow is a full instrumental, so we could have another epic like ‘Big Cave In’ hopefully. Ecclesiastes sounds like something from Andy’s Casey Jones project… this is a good thing.

They are pushing themselves again… sounds a quite schizophrenic album, no obvious “singles” from the previews but i’m happy with that… hard to judge till i’ve heard the whole thing.
Can’t wait :)

Been listening to them a few times now - sounds very intersting. As per usual, sounds like nothing they have done before. Thank God there is only a month to go (and a bit depending on Play.com…)

Aagh, I did not want to listen, in order not to get hyped up too much (that makes waiting even worse)
But then I thought it was ok just to listen to the preview of “Living In The Shadow Of A Terrible Thing” and “Before You, With You, After You” because I heard them live, but then I also clicked on “Stark Raving Sane”… with my crappy pc speakers :(

I might just as well listen to the other clips too, but I’ll better wait till I find some better speakers around here, or till I get home (where we have somewhat better speakers).

Anyway BYWYAY sounded quite different from what I remember, a bit weaker even, but the other 2 sounded amazing, I can’t wait for the album!!

I did much the same, listened to the two tracks I already knew. Very interesting. Love the fact the bass is high in the mix like on ‘Crooked Timber’ and I’m pretty sure I heard something of a vocoder in the chorus of BYWYAY, but that could just be the crappy audio quality of the previews…

I would like to order a vinyl copy but does anybody know if there is a mp3 download code supplied with it?
Much easier for getting it onto the ipod that way rather than having to rip it off the vinyl.

Won’t be listening to it till i get it tho…
I will never forget going to get troublegum the morning it came out and listening to it on good headphones back at home : )

Hi all, I’ve been lurking about here for the last few days wondering if anyone would comment on the above post by our dear evil priest…and I can’t take it any longer !!
The thing is he said the vinyl would be transparent. I got mine a few days ago and, yes it is a very nice shade of purple but, well its about as transparent as a brick wall!

Anyone actually get a transparent purple vinyl copy of ABCOL?

Most coloured vinyl sold as transparent needs to be held up to a very (80watt+ probably) bright light to see it, that’s the way it is.
On another note got my replacement vinyl today - bloody inner sleeve is ripped by the vinyl in transit, getting a bit ridiculous to send it back for yet another, probably take the sleeve from the damaged vinyl which is only split a bit and use that, still not good though.

Mine’s transparent - you just have to hold it up to the light. If it was more ‘clear’ it might look a bit wishy-washy…
