Does it sound like “White Light, white heat…”, or more like Mike Ness´s solo-albums?

:)I bought it today and have listened it once. After one listening it sounded a little bit slower than “White Light White..” stuff but it isn´t like Mike Ness solo stuff. Guess this album will grow up like the new T? one which is a killer one…:)

The new Social D is like a mixture of all past albums. I was a little disappointed with the production value considering that White Light had such a thick sound and the new one sounds a lot thinner. Still a good album. More comparable to their S/T and somewhere between heaven and hell than to white light. also has a few ties into mommy’s little monster. If you are any fan of Social D then you will buy this album. Also if you buy it from select shops you will get a free DVD with it. Check out http://www.socialdistortion.com for details.

Got it yesterday.
And I love it.

Sounds like a typical Social Distortion album just a bit slower.
Great lyrics - great “lonely boy” music!

Listened to it twice so far and I’m still not sure what to think of it. Music and lyrics are typical Mike Ness which is my problem with it. The lyrics are crap in my opinion. I’m a bit fed up with these “we against the world” cliches.
anyway, still miles ahead of the usual pop punk shite like Good Charlotte (they shouldn’t be allowed to use eyeliner as long as Mike Ness wears it, too).

Yeah the lyrics are steretypical. But well, thats Mike Ness. The album of course is not as good as “White Light…”, but I still love it. Music to drive on an open highway, left alone by other people…

True, the first time I’ve heard Sex, Love and Rock’n’Roll was on a nearly deserted road to Wesel on Friday night. A really good soundtrack for that, esp. Highway 101.

Sounds good to me. Unfortunately I got no car. Perhaps a bike may do this job as good…

Hope to catch them somewhere in the summer, though I think their latest album is a bit teethless. Still: Social D!
