Horro movies

#

Started by donVutz

well, after all discusions about movies here end up in talking about horro movies(looks like most t? fans are into them), why not make an extra thread of it.

Best: braindead, pet sematary (well, just the end with the kid and the ramones song)
worst: too many of them, let’s say every nightmare on elmstreet movie
most discusting: the dentist. this one was the onlyone i had to switch of because it was too damn ugly (in-mouth-camera, YUK!)

Here goes.

Best: Evil Dead 2 (I like a laugh with my gore)
Worst: Blair Witch Project (I think horror films should be scary!)
So bad it’s good: Day of the Beast (Spanish - i think - horror flick about a priest who realises the antichrist is about to be born and turns Baaad)

Oh geez, now you’re going to get a list.

Best: The Thing or The Blob. Or Dawn of the Dead. Recently, i loved Dog Soldiers.
Worst: Christine. Sorry, someone just mentioned it and i remembered i hated it. There’s a lot of very bad movies around though… The remake of Thirteen Ghosts springs to mind.
So Bad It’s Good: Wow, where to begin? Frankenhooker, Jack Frost (NOT the one with Michael Keaton), Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town, Return of the Living Dead, Blood Surf… i tell you what, everyone come round my flat sometime and we’ll have a ‘so bad it’s good’ bonanza. Otherwise i’ll just have to list my entire video collection.

PS. Hellraiser 2 rules the world!

Are Alien/Excorsits horrors? Those scared the shit out of me. I guess they aren’t :D

Like 1 & 2 hate 3 & 4. The Exorcist? Class.

Hated Exorcist - thought it was dull and plodding. Same goes for Chopper Chicks… Quite liked Blair Witch when I finally saw it, but preferred the original ‘The Ring’ as far as low budget stuff goes.

Hellraiser’s quite good, but the story could have done with more padding and more of the Cenobites. Hellbound is just sooo gratuitously stupid that it’s fun. Hell on Earth was rubbish - just nasty and have yet to see Bloodlines. Isn’t there supposed to be a Hellraiser V? Pinhead would kick Jason’s arse I think.

Really liked the The Others, if you’d class a ghost story aas horror. Only film that ever really spoked me was Poltergeist when I was 15 - would love to see it again.

Best: Nightmare On Elm Street, The Omen, The Ring (I hated the original, though), What Lies Beneath (so much better than I had expected), Jack Frost (has anyone seen this?), Army Of Darkness (let’s just call it horror)

Worst: Funny Man, The Convent and some strange movie I saw that had three killer clowns. Can’t believe how bad these movies were

was this about some kid hiding in it’s own house and trying to fight them with something his grandfather gave him or something? have seen such a movie and it sucked big time. i just hope you don’t mean killerklowns from outer space. if it wasn’t for the end, this movie rocks from a to z!

Favourite has to be Evil Dead with the mighty Bruce Campbell also liked the original Ring which was 30 times better than the crap American version.

Worst has to be any of The Children Of The Corn films.

Ok, Evil Dead II is the best one. Others that are good… Poltergeist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1&2, Phantasm 1&2, The Reanimator, The Unnamed, Halloween, Creepshow 1&2. Did anyone ever see The Munchies? Killer Klowns From Outer Space! Holy Shit! That movie rocked nut sacks! Then there are your typical stupid yet entertaining flicks like, Return Of The Living Dead, Fiday The 13th, Nightmare On Elm St., Goulies, Critters.

I love Day of the Dead1 It’s so over the top and the army sergeant in that! Jeez1 that guy is funny - “What the FUCK is going on here!?”

And the Exorcist - I didn;t really think it was that scary. Good movuie but not overly scary. The Exorcist 3 now - that was fucking TERRIFYING! remember the old woman crawling across the ceiling?.

Felt that Day of The Dead was the weakest of the trilogy , but if you want to see a truly excreable film, go and see ‘Darkness Falls’ - it’s worse than even ‘Valentine’, truly awful. Left me feeling shocked and upset, but only because I’d splashed out £5.25 (plus £2.95 for an ice-cream) to see it.

The best “Nightmare…” was the first one, although the second was possibly scarier. Everything after those two was progressively worse

Scared the shit out of me. It’s the demonic faces that keep flashing up that get to me…and all the sound effects…not one to watch whilst stoned, that’s for sure!
