Totally, everyone should check Element out - the track Wake From This is amazing. Great live band too. Hopefully we’ll be able to have them playing at a future Alternative Ulster event.

I’ve just got my tickets for the gig too. According to Radio Ulster’s Across The Line webpage, Stuart Bailie will be doing a big write up on T? for the Alternative Ulster magazine which will be being sold at the gig.
Really looking forward to it now. Somedays Better are really good and I have no idea of what Yakuza sound like but I’m sure it will be a good show.

The article Stuart Bailie has wrote is simply fantatsic, right from the first paragraph. It is really inspiring stuff. There are also some superb photos of Andy as taken by Iona Bateman, with the cover image being particularly striking.

Title: Belfast Music Scene
Ive seen some days better and yakuza before. they are both awesome bands and should get the nite rolling nicely. Its good too see you boys at Alt Ulster doing something about the local music scene in belfast. its about time everyone got a boot up the backside to wake them up to the talent that is all about us in this country. everyone go see as many gigs as you can and support your scene and remember, you aren’t living til its live.

Title: Belfast Support
Hi everyone, I play drums in Yakuza the band who will be opening for Therapy? at the Mandela Hall. We are all big fans so we are really looking foreward to the gig. If you go to a lot of gigs around Belfast some of you might have seen us before. We just got done recording an album with a guy called Dubh Dave Black who did some production work on “Shameless” (him and is buddy Pat are the Dave and Pat doing the handclaps on “Tango Romeo”) There are some MP3s up at http://www.scream4yakuza.co.uk if you want to check them out…
Anyway, see y’all on the 6th I guess…

Red_Mist - you are right in many ways.
But what about Fastfude?* And EPK Records?
You’re right though - a daily magazine - proper magazine - will do the scene a world of good. The local mags don’t really concentrate on the bands themselves enough in my opinion.

Hey Hairy Joe,
Yeah fastfude is a good resource (when it works)and being in a band myself i find it useful, but it still feels ‘underground’ in a way i.e. if you are not in a band you probably don’t know about it or see the point in using it. Thats where i feel the Alt Ulster mag will break the mould and really get bands out there. it will also give record companies a good impression if a band has been featured in such a mag along side the like of established bands like Therapy?
Rawk on dudes!
