I’ve been raving about this band for months!

they really do kick ass. Their debut album is out now in the UK. I recommend it. It really is excellent. There’s a clear Joy Division influence, and a goth influence. It’s brilliant!

They’re quite nice. I’ve seen them on tour with Interpol who do have a much bigger resemblance to Joy Division.
But BSP live are a strange appearance with the singer wearing an antler and someone making his way right through the audience with a kettle drum.

so i’m going to buy the album, as soon as i have some money (and after the new mogwai album, of course)

Saw them for the first time last night, the most original band I’ve seen live in a long time. I was well impressed, and they were only the support (for snow patrol, who were a bit shite). Anyone else heard them?

No, but I’ve downloaded a couple of songs, apologies to insect life & the excellent fear of drowning, so i might get it with my next giro.

When you saw them live Dermot did they bring the twigs and antlers etc?

Theres a sale on in both Virgin and HMV you might get the album cheap if you hunt around.

Yeah, they were meant to be upstairs in Auntie Annies before they switched to supporting snow patrol, which I think would have been a far better gig, cos most of the Snow Patrol fans in the Empire seemed a bit bemused by at all. They brought out all these plastic animals, they had leaves and twigs in their hair, and this guy walked around the crowd, the whole way up to the balcony, banging this big Lambeg drum type thing! They looked like they were making the most of it anyway, hanging from the curtains at the top of the stage and stuff. When Snow Patrol came on I just sank an absinthe and left :D

Are you headin’ to Mogwai at all man?
