remastered Songs

#

Started by Christian

not sure if remastered is the correct term, what I mean is just the difference between the Screamager versions of Shortsharpshock and Troublegum for example. The album version sounds so that it fits in.

Is that the same with other songs, like the Road Rash tracks, the retroperspective songs etc.?

I’ve always had the impression that Potato Junkie on SMFTTYP sounds way different compared to the Pleasure Death version. Might be due to the crappy production of Pleasure Death, dunno.

I think it would be awesome if T? went back and re-did some of their older songs, like “Dancin’ with Manson” and others to clean them up a little.

I’m not saying they don’t already sound great, which they do, but it would be nice to hear them updated.

Songs that were recorded twice and exist in two versions are:

That`s not what I mean though.

Somebody must have Babyteeth and Ten Year Plan. Put that into your CD Player, listen to Meat Abstract and tell me if it sounds the same on both. It is the same recording, but if you listen to Screamager from Troublegum and compare it to Meat Abstract from Babyteeth you`ll notice that the sound on Babyteeth seems to be quite thin. If that difference is lost on Ten Year Plan, both songs have been put on an equal level.

Yeah it was. Actually, I’d like to here some of the radio sessions stuck out on the B-sides or as a compilation EP, isn’t it about time we had a T? rarities album? I know you can get a load on bootlegs, but the quality varies vastly, I’d like to hear them layed down direct from the original masters.

all the songs on so much… will have been remastered - mastering is nothing to do with the original recording process, but is processing done as post-production. when remastered the songs will all be cleaned up/polished, given the same sound levels and maybe some more eq. all this is to make sure the songs sit well together as an album, so they flow together better than they would in their original mastered state. So they will sound different, but are still essentially the same songs…

it´s true, for me dancin with manson is one of the best songs of T? it would be good that re recorded pleasure death and babyteeth
