now that i’ve seen him i can say that he ain’t better or worse than other drummers. he is “just” a good rock drummer who enjoys playing live. that’s it.

I saw them yesterday in Cologne: it was a funtastic show and Neil did a great job. Maybe, he isn’t that good on every show, but Nobody is perfect.

is a nice guy, and it´s really great to see him live having that much fun playing.
i don´t understand much of drumming, but i think he fits in really well ( also as a “private person” ).

i don´t understand why he has to use two double bass drums?

i’ve known Neil for 13 years. he’s always preferred a double bass kit. fact. i think (and feel free to correct me), the only time he didn’t use 2 bass drums, was during his stint in Cable.

some bass players never use more than the bottom 2 strings on their bass. by your logic, should they only have 2 strings, instead of 4?

how did he play teethgrinder?

i think thats a song where you can totally say if he is a real therapy? drummer …
they just played teethgrinder in belfast, so i didn´t see him playing it …

fyfe always used his second snare drum on this …
neil hasn´t got one …

how did he get along with the original drum parts in the song and played he something else?

How did he play Teethgrinder?…Well, I wasn’t even there, but I CAN give you a plain and simple answer on your question: Neil played Teethgrinder…(drums please to build up some excitement)…ON HIS FUCKIN DRUMKIT…or did you think he would get his triangle out for this show…no, I guess you will just continue your DrumObsessionQuest anyway…what you actually are implying here is that if a drummer can’t play Teethgrinder, he can’t be the drummer of Therapy?…

And, I don’t mind criticism on Therapy? at all, as long as you don’t make it your main point

by “real therapy? drummer” i assume you mean “carbon copy of fyfe”??

i don’t mean to be nasty to tatty or any other drummers on the board but god, some are so anal retentive about therapy? drumming its a wonder they don’t suck chairs up their asses when sitting down!

ok, just had to get that out of my system!

no but this is just a good song … some of the best i think … and its just no song with just the one technique … hitting single strokes and hitting single strokes faster … like typical punk rock style …
this song has some good drumming techniques in it … and i just wanted to know how neil played it!
